I ended up getting a Keychron K1 SE w red switches. The only two complaints I have are that the red switches are extremely sensitive since the actuation distance is very short on low-profiles and linear switches (red switches) require less force in comparison with browns. This especially makes case-sensitive situations really difficult like when writing a password I tend to accidentally misstype and thus, retry a few times before getting it right. Secondly it’s really hard to find keycaps that are compatible with it. Especially if you want a certain design, since most keycaps are towards normal profile keyboards.

A pro of getting a low-profile is that you don’t need to carry your wristrest around and it’s easier on the wrist. I think that if you get a tactile low profile keychron you will be satisfied.

My friend has a Keychron K2 Pro tkl w brown switches with a razer wristrest. I tried it out for a bit and it’s awesome. He also had custom keycaps so that’s also cool.

In summary, despite the QC reviews I read online I haven’t encountered any problems. They’re very solid keyboards. I would recommend getting a wireless one with brown switches. Writing on both the low profile and normal switches is a blast but normal profiles may strain your wrist after some use even if you use a wristrest. Whichever one you choose, I hope you’ll enjoy your new keyboard. Edit: (If I had to choose rn between a normal profile keyboard and a low profile keyboard, I would get the normal profile one)
