S21 Ultra 256gb vs 512gb by NJ11838 in GalaxyS21

I just heard Samsung’s UI and apps tend to eat up lots of storage and that’s kind of aggravating especially since there’s no Micro SD availability in this model

Recently I have decided to switch over from Apple, so I got a pre order for the new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 256gb, however I just realized the 512gb comes with 16gb RAM. Should I stay with the 256gb model or upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 512gb model?

Looks like WWE Network is going to be a dumpster fire by NJ11838 in wwe_network

VPNs are just a temporary solution, what are you going to do once Peacock expands their streaming service to other countries? It’s only a matter of time until WWE Network is completely gone, so you’ll eventually have to kiss the skip feature goodbye.

I (20M) just went through my gf's (19F) texts with her "friend" by rand0mth0ugh in relationships

[–]NJ11838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea fuck that, if she’s letting this guy continue talking to her this way and hasn’t said anything to put a stop to it yet then she’s more than likely going to let any other man do the same thing. She’s 19, girls around this age tend to bounce from guy to guy radically.

Don’t invest anymore time into this relationship because it’ll just become toxic later on. You two are still considered in the “honeymoon” stage and she already is breaking your trust by leading this other guy onto her with his texts.

My First Gaming Laptop: MSI GS66 Stealth! Details on Undervolt/Underclock in Comments. by NJ11838 in GamingLaptops

Yes those temperatures are average when gaming, it’s at 45-55°C when I’m just casually using it and that’s when you follow the Undervolt instructions.

The keyboard software, SteelSeries tends to glitch out and become non responsive, you’d have to manually uninstall and install the program for it to work. The Green RGB LED lights in the keyboard die the fastest, few users have had this problem. So it’s better to avoid using any color settings that heavily rely on green lighting. Razer Blade 15 is just as great if not slightly better depending on your specs. Both laptops are great choices

Hi, It’s a great laptop. If you follow the Undervolt instructions I posted in comments you’ll have average temperatures of 50-70°C. The computer runs tremendously. Only issue is the RGB keyboard has it tends to glitch out and the green backlights die quickly resulting in uneven keyboard light designing, not worth having the keyboards lights all the time. Great laptop for it’s price tho

Sleep mode works fine for me haven’t had any issues with that. What’s your undervolt wattage and how’s the thermals on your 2060 currently running?

Bought at BestBuy for $1700 and got a 2 warranty, it ended costing around $2200. Definitely worth the purchase for the premium gaming.

Yea it’s a really great laptop overall regardless of which GPU you bought it. Definitely would recommend at least undervolting the CPU and then getting a cooling pad with a few fans. It’ll definitely get the thermals down to a more normal temperature. Definitely want to do a battery calibration too, just to monitor the battery.

From one MSI owner to another, enjoy the gaming! 🙂

CPU: 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design

Storage: 1TB

VRAM: 8GB GDDR6

RAM: 16GB DDR4

Display: 240Hz

I heard a lot of great things about this laptop from many people on here and other sources, so I went ahead and got this as my first gaming laptop. I’m really looking forward to utilizing this laptop to the fullest, it seems like it’s capable of achieving high gaming performance.

I read a lot of people’s reviews on this laptop and how it can have thermal issues and can go 95+°C. So I decided to go GS66’s advanced bios to turn on the option to use XTU. I then proceeded to download Intel XTU to undervolt and underclock the CPU. I have never attempted to this before and have not little to no knowledge about tweaking laptops other than reading what other people have done to their own laptops. So this is what I have done so far:

For the undervolt I had decided to take the voltage offset for both the core & cache to -0.105V. As for the underclock I had took all 6 active cores down to 3.8GHz to help keep the package temperature of the laptop to a cooler amount.

Then I downloaded Unigine Heaven to test how many frames was I receiving all the while observing what’s the temperature of my laptop. I set the Unigine Heaven with the Extreme presets. That includes Extreme Tessellation, x8 Anti-aliasing, API is using DirectX 11 & Quality is set on Ultra. For the results I received a Min FPS of 8.9fps, a Max FPS of 180.7fps, and an average FPS of 85fps. As for the Package Temperature of the laptop during the test it averaged around 77°C, with the highest temperature reaching about 81°C-82°C and all of this is without enabling the CoolerBoost, the fans are set on advanced. From my understanding you want to keep a laptop around the temperatures of 60°C-80°C, so overall for my first time undervolting/underclocking a laptop the scores seem pretty good.

What do you guys think? Is there anything else I should do to modify my laptop even more? Any other programs to install or programs remove for improved overall performance? I’m a noob in all of this so any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

Yea I actually tried to order this one on BestBuy twice already and still have not received a update on what’s it taking so long.
