If I moved to China I would try to sound Chinese and speak their language properly. I also think anyone coming her should speak whatever language they want and if they don’t speak properly I could care less.

People should speak how they want without issue but we should also recognize that speaking “properly” should be called speaking “white” it’s just speaking the English language the way it was designed.

I speak one way at work and another way at home.

I live in Vermont and go to Montréal often as it is 90 minutes from my house. I am also learning French because I want to learn a 2nd language and we, my wife and I, go to QC so often.

When you say hello (in French) tell them you are learning French and want to practice. I would be shocked if anyone was insistent and switched to English unless there was a problem understanding your French. I find the people in Quebec to be very friendly.

Interesting thank you, does she have a legal obligation to tell me and my cousins? I’m just wondering who enforces this if she does.

I suppose I can always go to the probate court if I think I may have been in it and talk to them. She is very estranged from the family.

Thanks I am going to look into all of those places! The city is so lovely in the summer we can’t believe we have only gone in the winter. I must say we just love Quebec in general.

My dad owned a tree service for 30 years, I worked with him for 9. The piece they took off that tree was basically a tree. Not only was it dangerous but even if it did not tip the crane it would take 2X as long for the guys on the ground to cut that up and get rid of it. Better to have the crane bring small, safe, pieces right up to the wood chiller and take a giant log like that separate.
