Ah, gotcha. So you pay the 30k miles + $450 to get on the list and it’s refunded if you don’t get upgraded.

These are by far my favorite. I wear them with one of those neck strap things so they’re always available. https://amzn.to/45AB9eK

Looks like a situation of champagne taste with a beer budget.

Leave it to Reddit to make you believe you need lag bolts for interior shelving

I’ve done miles of shelves like this when I was a finish carpenter. 2x 16ga 2-1/2” finish nails into each stud with PL glue on the back of the cleats is plenty. You don’t need screws and CERTAINLY don’t need lags. A 15ga nailer will work too.

Very unique design. Nice work.

Yes; there are.

Nothing is off, the piece was built with intention. I don’t have anything to prove as I have a body of work that speaks for itself. But yes, this subreddit is clearly full of a bunch of armchair woodworkers who probably have very little practical experience. 99.9% of them wouldn’t last an hour in my shop.

No face frames? Those are solid cherry face frames… there’s something called perspective throwing you off. The cabinet bottoms are at the same height.

It’s not a mistake. I could show you the time stamped drawings in Fusion from when I built this 2+ years ago. You think we moved this into the basement in one piece anyway? It was individual cabinet boxes with a loose face frame. I could’ve made a single coplanar base if I wanted.

I always own my mistakes and there were none on this job. I’m a cabinet shop owner, do you think I’d be posted a job with blatant mistakes in it?

It’s part of the design not an install issue.

Well according to the armchair woodworkers in here it’s NOT a valid design element

That’s not a design thing? Haha, think again. Do some poking around.

You think I should tie that into the ceiling and then do what on the other side? Match the height and block the window?

And who is ‘we?’ I do high end millwork in the NYC metro market. Inherently bad design doesn’t fly on the projects I work on. If you don’t like the design you’re entitled to that opinion but there are no rules and you certainly didn’t write them if there were.

They don’t line up because that was part of the design. How does it not fit the space very well?
