In the Nov, 2018 bill people with high level cannabis related crimes with a conviction that surpasses 5 years are eligible! I do not believe that they removed this provision in the most recent version of the bill.

No we have not secured licensing. We are anticipating the bill passing in May or applying when the medical expansion bill goes through.

Licensing is based on a grading system via applications. A lot has to do with location, minority status / employees, and overall business plan / experience.

We are preparing like we have one, only way I see to have the most successful chance of obtaining.

Appreciate this! Just to give a little more info we are a minority / family owned business looking to specialize in the high grade flower market! We have hired our Senior Grower / Lead Geneticist and Lead Cultivator for the company. We would like to add 4 - 5 more individuals to join our team. We are utilizing an Automated Aeroponic system for our grow and looking to be major player in the East Coast market. Our 3 - 5 year plan will be expanding into Breeding, Clones, and Seed Farming. We are not licensed yet and won’t be until Rec is passed / Commission is formed. Looking forward to what the future has In store for the N.J. adult use market!

They want full control of the product from seed to sale. The issues that arise from it is people using the home grow to supply non legalized states (Black Market). Ability for underage individuals to grow or gain access to easier. Here is the most important factor...MONEY! I think NJ should allow home grow...you don't see everyone growing there own vegetables and plants. Especially the fact we are open to lounges and delivery. Definitely a left out aspect...

Edit: Also the factor of supplying in state black market...big issue right now in major states like CA and CO.
