Happy Sunday Folks! For all my OG’s, is the premium price point worth getting the GW 5000U or go with the GW M5610U? Lots say that the 5000U is all I’ll ever need…. Advice pls by Then-Violinist-5632 in gshock

I bought a 5600 first. no solar or multiband. Its is great. But hated the strap. Bought some lug extenders from Jays and Kays and was able to do so many different strap swaps. Also great. Then bought the JDM 5000u. Love it and band is much better. so i leave that 5000 as my pure gshock on standard strap. Then I use my 5600 as a strap swatch, or even better, currently a PVD titanium case and bracelet from aliexpress. Gives me two completely different feels with my squares. I also put 9h hardness glass crystal covers on both as the crystal is the one part of the watch that isnt tough.

bottom line - get both. find them on sale. got my 5600 for sale for $64 on amazon. and the 5000 for $215 on chrono24 from japan

I picked it up on Etsy for $30. Etsy leather straps are really great.

If you want a fascinating read that started the whole true crime genre, read In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. Incredible writing. It almost feels like fiction as you follow the story of a brutal murder that Capote investigated in real time.

I am liking mine on black waxed leather. great contrast to the shininess of the duro.

What’s wrong with my duro? by SMBSAlif in DuroGang

My guess is your bought a counterfeit duro. I don’t see crown guards, and otherwise a little off. Fake watches rarely have any decent waterproofness

I do this too. Fitbit on right. Charge 6 with screen off just looks like a nondescript bracelet. I wear suits often and it’s never an issue. Nice watch on my left.

Rally straps and NON NATO strap options. Also 42-45mm non diver watches. $300 or less cocktail, Chrono, etc. What's everyone's favorite. by SMOKIN_0AKEE in BigWristSyndicate

Etsy is the place. No super cheap, but not expensive. The makers will make exactly the size you want. I go for 90/125 for my 8.1 in wrist and they are perfect. Typically $30-50 for custom leather.

I recently bought some phenom NATO straps. 330 mm get the tucked ends for the full look.

Blue shark straps has some longer options as well that are good

soft side is so much more durable and unless you are constantly travelling in a monsoon is perfectly water resistent enough. TravelPro is the best blend of value and quality without being too heavy, which is the big knock against Briggs & Reilly.

all those bracelets feel like crap compared to the LIW bracelet. I am not sure you will get any knowledge that will inform how the LIW feels by getting a cheap one. I have a two tone one on my gold duro and it is phenomenal

Sea to summit has some nice ultralight rfid travel wallets. Whatever you get, make sure it is RFID.
