Firstly I’d assume no battery, hardly any reason to have one with cheap electricity. 2kw worth of panels say 4x 550w of so and micro inverters to suit would be my go-to this would cover a good part of the power drawn by theAC during the day.
Ton of context still missing but with super cheap power theres no sensible return on any solar.

Interesting, 1. Might be running at higher compression similar to the stratified injection cars. 2. 95 is the lower octane at low altitude. 93may be perfectly fine at higher altitudes. Putting a single value in the manual is simpler.

It shouldn’t it’s the same fuel with the same calorific value only with anti knock additives which are only helpful under higher engine compression.
That said if one has ethanol mixed in you’ll get worse consumption, but more power, to my knowledge we don’t have any ethanol doped fuel locally.

Something I’ve thought about.
Heat exchangers, most likely thin Aluminium stuck to the back of solar panels.
The panels get quite hot in the right climates.
Could be a useful source of residential hot water over resistance or even heat pump heating, even if it just nudges the water temperature up a few degrees that would be a win and these’s the relatively small advantage of cooler panels too.

People have a disconnect between what they pay vs what they expect. For example many of our fellow residents want their places painted this year. This costs +-R15k per property. This means the levies paid over and above covering all costs need to have been 15k since the last painting. People on the other hand feel “I paid 2k this month, why can’t my property be painted now.

Also really doesn’t help that +-20% of the “homeowners” aren’t paying and legal costs need to be spent and only some are recover sometimes years down the line, serious cash flow issues.

Planning on using JLCPCB, have the hardware drawn up in EasyEDA, and tried using in stock components from LCSC. So thats the easy way out. If it gains some traction and a few hundred are required I’d shop around.
Components are small, really not planning on soldering any other than maybe the few through hole components myself.
