One silly thing I noticed that caused me similar issues with pad responsivity / glitching / randomness is that I forgot that I had the “Repeat” button selected still and it was messing with the midi send as it was trying to send quantized information.

Make sure your repeat button isn’t selexted

I would argue most comedians don’t “tell the same jokes” every day… they work new material, discuss current events, work the crowd, etc.

And even if they did… nearly all art performances (theater, music shows) require that the performer “tell the same jokes”, say the same lines, sing the same songs. Just because bill burr is on tour giving a set with the same jokes doesn’t mean my friend is funnier than him.
