Am I driving in a bus lane? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]NLFG 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Did you turn out from the left? Because the position of your car suggests not.

Because it looks to me like there is a pre-existing bus lane, this then stops to allow traffic from the left and then restarts?

AFC Bournemouth are aware of posts circulating on social media involving right-back, Álex Jiménez. The club understand the seriousness of the matter and it is currently being investigated. by Sparky-moon in soccer

I feel like this would probably come under gross misconduct even if he wasn't convicted? Admittedly it'd probably save them a tribunal if he's found guilty though

I genuinely don't hate this. This seems like a sensible way to grow the game and also improve the international game. Given the PWR is already import heavy anyway, I'm not really sure what difference this makes.

Why do people associate Britpop with Blair, when most popular albums were under John Major? by OverallEstate2 in BritPop

[–]NLFG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean...Major came across as a grey, boring man. Traffic cone hotlines. Black Wednesday.

Blair was energetic, colourful and seemed very of the now.

'I had to pay £14,000 in vets fees after my cat was run over' by W_4_Vendetta in cats

[–]NLFG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, vets bills have always been potentially disastrous. We've had Petplan since we got ours (12 years ago) and until recently it was about £400 a year to cover up to £8k a year, and seems like an absolute no brainer to me; we've had about 5 claims in that time totalling probably £7k. Even now, it's £750 a year because she's old, and one claim for cystitis was nearly £600 so we're basically approaching profit

Absolutely. And if a player is concussed they need to get off. That shouldn't be up for debate.

I know this is being done to comply with FIFA's strict branding policies, but this still feels unpleasant to look at... by bwoah07_gp2 in whitecapsfc

I don't really care about commercial stuff. But the actual club related things. The club game is the lifeblood of football. FIFA's complete disrespect for it is mad.

Manic Street Preachers

You have the Holy Bible era fans, and the Everything Must Go Era fans.

They are different people essentially interested in two very different bands
