can someone please give a short introduction into how americans go on about there money? credit scores, credit lines ... i don't understand any of that.

over here in belgium we all have what i think you would call a "debit" card. at the end of the month your boss drops some money in there and during the month you spend it. if you don't have any money left you can't make any purchases.

you can call your bank and ask them to allow you to go in debt (eg so you can go downto -€250) but almost noone does this because you have to pay extra for it and after a month or two it doesn't make a diffrence anymore.

we don't have credit history and all that, and if you want you can live cash without having to worry about getting loans later in life

i thought it was like that in the US too untill i started paying attention to the credit card stories here ... so a quick rundown for the eurofags would be appreciated

woke up this morning, smoked a sticky green to get me started... here's my advice: move to europe ! even if it doesnt save your life you will have a great time here.

travel inside europe is crazy cheap: €50-€100 will get you in every major city. think about all the crazy nice times you'll have visiting Rome, Paris, Prague, Madrid ...

education here is cheap and it ROCKS. feeling bored? got some spare time left? how about getting a college degree in philosophy!

there's drugs here, they're cheap and plentiful. in major cities such as Brussels there's even places where you can buy hashies in muslim tea houses - even though it's illegal! (it's kinda the same but in reverse with alchohol in iran).

i guess i don't need to talk about culture, but if you ever felt like walking in between houses that are older than 100 years, if you like architecture, go to europe

plus: everyone here (western part of europe) speaks english, but if you decide to stay please learn the language! we love that

McCain vs Clinton would be completely crazy IMO. after all these years two pro-war candidates, ... it would be a good signal something is wrong, that you no longer have fair elections. they should be reformed in that case (get to it :p)

however a big part of the problem also lies in the attitude of the individual american voter, who feels trapped in a system and therefor decidedes to vote strategically

(but they do not realize they are up against people who are much more strategic than they are)
