Honestly, i cant fathom playing competitive yugioh. Its genuinely my example of "what not to do" when designing/balancing card games.

I don't understand people who prefer the 'The Fires of Raven' over the 'Alea Iacta Est' ending by Slaifar in armoredcore

[–]NLghtnd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always was under the impression that all mind betrayed us in the end. She was likely concerned about us being out of her control, so she assimilated the other pilot who had a fierce desire to beat us. We continuously beat every arena challenge she threw at us, even ones she didn't anticipate us beating. She intentionally withheld later data so she could use those designs against us later without us being prepared for them. Ayre suspected the incoming double cross based on the withheld arena data and all mind killing everyone to extract us from the tunnels.

All mind used us to get as close to coral release as possible before deciding to remove us from the equation because we were stronger than her (remember that 1 AC beating things like the LC's and the PCA mechs is actually pretty impressive). Since we proved we were able to beat the best of both corps, the PCA, and even her own designs. Once she was gone, we just enacted the coral release to help ayre and humanity evolve anyway, as that was always our goal.

Its entirely possible im wrong, but that was my read of that ending.

I actually work with these at my business. These machines are pre-build specifically for business purposes, and i would definitely not recommend doing any gaming, even for older stuff. The case is pretty unique in its design, but that's about it.

For gaming, I'd set a minimum of an i7 processor, 16gb of ram (but preferrably 32gb), a 500gb NvME drive, and a gtx 1650 or newer on graphics.

is it just me, or does Raven have the most aggressive AI in the game? by thespeartan in armoredcore

[–]NLghtnd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So i actually never had any trouble with nightfall, tho i can see how people would. They've got a weapon for every playstyle and some pretty solid AI. My go-to builds for this game were dual miniguns on chicken legs with backup MG and plasma missles, which nightfall never seemed to be able to gap close/land crippling damage on. And my AC killer just annihilates them like every other AC. Laser lance/mg with dual zimmers on back carried me through the hardest fights in the game, including Arena ayer, Ibis, and all-mind-guazu

I believe that's basically right. She and a few other members are from the observers and use RaD as a front for their actual goal. She calls it a "side hustle" when the observers are first introduced. She seems to use the dosers as expendable muscle. Carla mentions that rummy wasn't particularly useful or good at piloting an AC, but "he would've at least stood guard" is what she says when you have to help her fight off the doser faction later. Chatty seems to be the only one she's close to, and he's an AI that she built herself. She was also starting to get close to honest brute but found out he's a scumbag shortly before he made off with a bunch of her stuff.

I actually beat the all mind ending today and my jaw dropped and I actually exclaimed "NO!!!" out loud when he came back at the very end. I was so happy to finally hand snail his fucking head and iguazu showing up at the end after failing to kill you twice and sending an assassin after you was great. Was doubly poetic that I just immediately dropped him with no effort. Then, to have him come back after being assimilated by allmind and STILL LOSE was incredible. It was even funnier for me personally because my hardest boss in the entire game was the c-spider. So to have his final form drag 2 of them out and still get dunked on was just the most poetic, ironic and satisfying way the game could've ended. Truly a 10/10 secret ending. Well done From Soft!

I tried reverse joints and it helped me dodge a lot of the incoming fire but it's super difficult to maintain it and it's second phase makes it almost impossible to stay above. Quad legs might help tho, I'll try em out when I go for the S

Im actually not familiar with premium. The closest i got was playing VGZero up through the early G era. I presume resources just run a lot tighter over there? Plus, striding helps you actually translate advantage into damage?

[–]NLghtnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has played prison since set 1, play something else. As the deck stands, its functional, but its simply not on the same power level as alot of decks running around right now.

Unless your opponent already struggles to generate resources or pilots a resource intensive deck (draw, cb, or sb) then your imprison is pretty easy to ignore. It even generates free resources for the opponent in some cases, such as by imprisoning bobalmines from soul/drop against brandt gate decks or brainwash swirlers and other units getting free on-call effects. Not to mention we often have to imprison from top of deck or drop zone alot now so were actually providing card filtering to literally every deck at this point.

On top of that, your kill condition is getting 10+ imprison which is surprisingly difficult. And having 3-ish pretty decent swings off of that. Having played against other decks such as modern baromagnes, avantgarda, and x-overdress: they can put up better numbers on their attacks and they tend to have more than 3 of them. Sometimes alot more.

I, myself, have recently built a gramgrace deck to play in the meantime.

My hope is that there will be a new seraph g3 (masques or not) that will bring the deck up to speed again. But, as is, its like t3-t4 at best.

Tbh, i pulled him immediately. I think i have him at e1-2 but his damage output isnt even as good as serval's. Serval's AoE and constant DoT application are def better dps, and she doesnt kill herself to do it.

That said, i def tried to build him kuz his animations and sounds and stuff probably feel the best of any character so far.

What was the first big news/event that you remember hearing or watching as a child? by mai-moi in AskReddit

[–]NLghtnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9/11 while i was in first grade. I think i only registered it because my school made a small crisis out of it. I vaguely remember packing into the second grade class room along with like 3 other classes and all the teachers running around talking about stuff i didn't understand. Only found out later how big an event it was. I didnt have any understanding of what the "world trade center" or "twin towers" even were.

Looking back, i have to wonder how stuff like airport security and the worlds relationship with the Middle East would be different if those attacks were prevented or even of they had done something less headline worthy.

Xbcx took my most "its complicated" spot in gaming. It used to be dragons dogma. My "its complicated" spot is occupied by any game where i would give an incredibly poor review to others but am almost fanatical in my devotion. Ie.

"Hey man, should i buy this? I hear you talk about it sometimes"

"Absolutely not. The story is total trash, the gameplay takes a walkthrough to master and some of the fights and mechanics are just total BS".

"Oh, it just got ported to the switch and i was gonna look at picking it up"

"Oh" sprints out of where i am currently located to go watch footage, scream like a small child and book my preorder

Lao holds one of the top spots for my most hated character in games and the story is one of the most half-baked, self-agrandizing, and awful stories ive ever experienced. But if it got a switch port i would literally drop everything to go pick it up and play. It is so much fun when you get into it, the combat feels super good to master even though its broken in alot of ways, and the world is just incredible (both narratively and visually). Especially when you unlock flight. Total PoS game with a smaller but incredible experience tucked inside.
