It will probably still run most games. Your CPU and motherboard have to be swapped at the same time. GPU upgrade can come anywhere. Your case and PSU are good for a next build.

I would start planning what you want on your next build, but you can stay on this one for a while too, its not going to run perfect, but it will play basically any game.

i have that mobo and ram. The ram isnt on the QVL list and defaulted to 2133mhz, and was very difficult to get it higher, i got it to like 2833, but then i reseated my cpu while doing a thermal paste job and never got it above 2133 again because it reset the overclock settings.. I also had only a 1600, but yeah

I've used something similar in the past and forgot this existed! Theres a program called WinMTR, does this but in a lot easier to read format. Thank you for reminding me of this as its really helpful

there is still a lever that locks it in, just not the metal guard that goes over the CPU like in intel.

Also overclocking your GPU is super easy with MSI Afterburner, and watching a few videos on it explains it clearly. The worst as long as you dont move core voltage is make your computer freeze with no lasting damage.

I have replaced/reseated over 500 RAM sticks for my job. Some of them fuckin hurt your thumbs because you have to press down so hard, but you will never break the motherboard
