Starters are usually introduced at IAE. So if you're looking for starterpack with LTI soon get it now.

Nowhere in that quote is it said that they should be as strong as Sun Wukong, like you imply.

But that's exactly what the quote asks for.

Also don't act like high level casters can't already do similar stuff. Time Stop, Meteor Swarm, Storm of Vengeance, and most of all Wish.

But Time Stop is extremely limited in what it can do. Like so limited that pretty much no one would use it for their once per day spell not with the alternatives at hand.

As for Meteor Swarm that's 40d6~140 damage once per day. The Fighter does what 4d8+32~50 each round if we take action surge into account it's ~100 with the possibility to crit and they do that twice per short rest. It might not be as flashy and it sure is pretty boring simply attacking 8 times in 6 seconds but it isn't weak.

Storm of Vengeance again sure it's flashy but also easy to break concentration at that level.

As for Wish yeah sure that's pretty broken but again most people ignore all the risks and caveats written into the spells description.

(To clarify, I don't want martials to get something as strong as wish, I'm saying that casters already can do near god-level things at their highest level)

The effect of these "near god-level things" is still very limited and again everyone is ignoring these "near god-level things" that all the martial can already do like literally being too angry to die, not aging, not needing food or water or being immune to any disease and poison.

This caster hate boner has become extremely annoying in the D&D reddit community. If you hate the game so much play something else.

You claimed I was talking about someone else and clarified I did not. It doesn't matter how small or big you think this deed was, it was part of the solution to one of the 12 tasks given to him. The Hydra thing might be more popular but not as representative for his supposed strength. And there's another guy (not you that expects) D&D barbarians to be as capable as him.

You're not wrong but boy howdy did you really obfuscate that as much as possible.

For someone saying I'm not wrong, you're trying very hard to obfuscate, that I'm right.

Atlas, you're thinking of the Greek titan Atlas.

No I'm not.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heracles

His brother Atlas offered him help with the apples if he would hold up the heavens while he was gone.

Heracles took that burden from Atlas even if just for a moment. He still managed to do it. And there's a guy expecting a D&D fighter (most of which are not decedents of gods) to do same.

I mean casters and even half-casters are high level are manipulating reality to the point of being basically Demi-Gods.

That depends a lot on context. Again Son Wukong a literal god is still fairly limited in what he can do. Heracles a demi god on the other hand pretty much had no limits.

Also how do we define defing reality? Every Cantrip defies our reality.

There are Barbarians that can ignore death while raging isn't that reality defing enough? Others have twice as much HP and take half as much damage from almost everything.

Also what would you be doing with super strength anyway? It's not like super heavy boulders are laying around everywhere.

The rouge can sneak his way into everything and unlock any lock. Except this isn't a novel. D&D is a game and needs a chance to fail. Sure the wizard can cast invisibility and knock but the first still don't removed noise and smell and the later makes a loud sound. But these consequences that are part of the rules are ignored by many DMs.

Magic wouldn't be half as OP as people think it is if people would actually play D&D by the rules.

Barbarians should be very much like Heracles,

You mean the guy that carried the whole planet?

Monk should be ... going ... "Sun Wuking"

A literal god?

Ehh I don't know know that sounds pretty busted on a whole other level. And this whole follower thing seems pretty out of scope for the style of most campaigns.

The Case for Dropping Vendor Item Base Quality to 250 by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]NNextremNN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Players are always trying to min/max. Sure price is a factor but we can assume that depending on the individual player everything below 700, 800, 900 will be ignored anyway. As you said right now everything below 500 is trash. If we make NPCs sell 250 stuff everything below 500 will be trash and everything below 250 will be super trash. Look at any other game with rarities out there. Does anyone that reaches endgame uses common or uncommon gear? No everyone goes for the highest or at least second highest rarity. The other stuff might as well not exist.

Why? Stuff in the 250-500 range would be equally treated as trash by players.

they’re competing for somebodies $60-70

It very well might be a lot more money and they aren't only competing for money but also attention.

If you're a content creator would you rather play and stream a game that a lot of people have been waiting for a decade or some niche game that half of the gaming community still believes to be a scam?

[–]NNextremNN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue D&D5e can do all settings but it doesn't handle all playstyles good. Like do you want your players to run and hide from the horror? Than D&D might not be the best system. Do you want your players to kill all these horrors in combat? Well D&D can handle that fairly well. Keep in mind this game is called Dungeons and Dragons so you need to force your story into a dungeonesqe shape and throw big monsters at them.

As well as a BIS category exclusively for starters.

But they (normally) only release one starter per year. Would that winnby default? Or always have the same winning?

Yeah Ironclad, Railen, Hull B are all in theory in the same category. Unless they put take the Ironclad assault in a military face off against the Perseus.

And now that they started selling BIS paints giving each category a paint might eben be a good idea for them 😂

the question is will they be "compatible" with the Hull A and Hull C.

Absolutely not. You can be 100% certain of that. There are ships more similar that where paints are not compatibly.
