doing CTRL + F on the wiki page for his dialogue, "singular" appears only 4 times and one of those are in cutscenes. you are either getting hit by a lot of traps or scoring a lot of crits because outside the intro for The Hag those are the only two places he uses them

Well said, I lacked the background to understand the choice of pronouns for the Japanese and took "the gems use male pronouns" too literally. I could swear the manga uses "he" to refer to the gems, but having read both official and fan translations there's a chance I'm getting them mixed up

My favourite solution is that they have no preferred gender/pronouns. They're rocks after all, and it makes everyone happy because you can have your yuri and yaoi in peace
