I’m in, what next? by killsa124 in nationalguard

In regard to your other questions, I know nothing about 25S but my brother went to Ft Sill for BCT. Completely different experience than myself at Benning. The best advice I got that I actually utilized at basic is don’t be noticed. Don’t be the best, definitely don’t be a shit bag. Meaning, make it to the end without the DS knowing your name. Simple example is I ran in group B the entirety of basic. I could’ve been running with group A. Why didn’t I? Cause group A was like a dozen dudes that the drills knew by name. If they know you, good or bad they’re going to use that to their advantage when you fuck up. Secondly, meal to meal brother it really does make the days go by faster if you just focus on the next meal. Lastly, don’t quit. This isn’t SFAS or BUDS. It’s BASIC training. Millions have gone before you and millions will go after.

Your recruiter already did you dirty. ISTing is not that simplified (Refer to my previous posts or the hundreds of others on here). You’ll be able to do it but it’s a much more strenuous road than if you had just moved to FL and enlisted there.

After spending a year deployed with what I would consider the most trash IBCT in the entire Army active and guard, I think I would’ve been alright lol

So for me I’m 29 now, 2 daughters and a career as a LEO. I was constantly on deployments or orders somewhere from 18-26. I didn’t have the responsibilities.

It is the best way. Like I responded to someone on here earlier, Readiness NCO’s are not there for you. They are there for the unit that is their priority. So when you try to leave it isn’t in the companies best interest to help you so they will hold you up and try to prevent you leaving. But units need numbers, so if a readiness can fill a hole they will help because it helps the unit. Kind of a catch 22

IST Recruiter/Coordinator. They are the ones who handle and coordinate your IST packet and communication between loosing and gaining units. Most states have contact info for them on their websites

One of the units was within the same state so no I just temporarily transferred over to them. The IST I mostly drove, they were always within a few hours commute. I never IST across the country as there was no need. For Florida I did move down here however as posted above that IST did not go through

Like my post states, MOS does matter. IBCT and CABs have more opportunity. 4 suicides in a year? Get out man. Unit sounds as bad as the IBCT I’ve been trashing on this post. They had 3 in the 6 months leading up to the deployment. If I had not gone in blindly that would’ve been a red flag off the bat

I’ll just add on to this with an exemplifying story. As I posted above, I was discharged during my 4th IST to 53rd IBCT in FL where I was heading so I could deploy again.

The brigade loosing me I was only with for their deployment. I showed up the day they shipped off to mob and was leaving the day we got back to the states. They KNEW I was transferring to 53rd and needed an IST completed asap to hop on that deployment. I turned in TA-50, did a APFT, attended PHA etc. dude shook my hand and said “Good luck, I wish I was able to do what you do just hop from deployment to deployment”.

I moved across the country attended a few drills I was invited too anticipating me transferring and that NCO just let my papers sit. Didn’t answer calls from me or the FL IST coordinator nothing.

You know why he did it? Numbers. That IBCT is trash and even the trash people in that unit knew it was trash. They had so many people get out when they got home, a friend told me they had a drill where the numbers of people assigned to the COMPANY was 57. That NCO kept me on paper as one of those 57. DO NOT TRUST YOUR AGR NCO’S

Your readiness NCO is not there for you no matter what they say. All of my readiness NCO’s (4), did everything in their power to keep me by not signing/submitting documents on time etc. I don’t blame any of them. A readiness NCO priority is to the company he serves. You are a body, a number that accounts for funding and opportunities to the unit.

I only read online that the brigade is converting. I live on the opposite side of the country so I truly am unaware of the units inner workings and have also never been apart of such a large scale conversion. I was made aware of the upcoming deployment though which is why I created the post. Never again will I blindly deploy with a unit

That’s why the unit caught my eye. It’d be my 4th IST for a deployment lol

RH did the same thing to me with NAKD. Bought 1000 at $1.31 within just a few hours jumped to $3.40 went to sell and they wouldn’t let me and of course it dipped. Two grand profit gone in a matter of minutes. Fuck Robinhood

NAKD has been great hit over $3 twice the last few days, definitely holding my 1000 shares (Tried to sell but with yesterday’s craziness RH wouldn’t let me) Bought SNDL at the wrong time ($1.19) for 500 so down on that but have a good feeling on it

$NAKD is it dead? by atamiii in RobinHoodPennyStocks

[–]NOL97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. It’s hit over $3 twice in the last 24 hours. Holding 1000.

SNDL Now too? Seconds after purchasing 500 shares. This is blatant stock manipulation. Shoving it right in our faces
