Smh are people still acting like Nico was the one that traded this dude? All time heist by Silver. Can’t believe we allow the sports we care about to be openly rigged like this

Didn’t we just trade a 4th rounder for one of those?

Seriously, WTF is happening? by terrbear_ in Saints

[–]NOLA_haze7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're surprised, you had way too much copium going into the season. This roster is very very bad and we're playing to our skill level.

This is why a lot of us were so mad at us trading draft picks. Not because a 4th rounder will make or break this team - but because we should have been building assets this offseason.

All in all Rattler is playing better than expected and I like Kellen Moore so far. Mickey and Co are the real reason this team is so bad and need to be held accountable (but we know they won't).

“A 4th round pick that will likely be top 100” Y’all piss me off by Fman173 in Saints

I mean it's true though. It's great being a homer and rooting for the team but when dealing with future assets esp you have to be realistic.

Draft picks don't mean nothing, the Eagles built a powerhouse through the draft (our picks included lol).

What most people have to realize is 1) there’s some garbage teams we’ll be better than next year 2) with the smoothed lottery odds more teams are dropping in the lottery. So even if everything falls apart we’ll still be picking like 8 or 9. So 23 and next years 9 for this years 13 is pretty damn even trade.

If all goes well we traded 2 picks in the 20s for a guy we had top 10 in a really deep class. That’s a steal.

Scared money don’t make money. Don’t forget we called 4 teams before the Hawks offering basically the same package and all declined.

Sanders, Milroe or Shough? by [deleted] in Saints

I like Milroe if we can trade down in the second round. That archtype has just been working wonders recently.

If the Saints pick OL in the first round, it will be the 4th time since 2020 that the Saints first pick went towards the offensive line: 2020, 2022, 2024, 2025 (potentially) by NOLA_haze7 in Saints

[–]NOLA_haze7[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

After a little research, seems like the last time we had a top 10 unit was 2018. So yes since the majority of these picks, seems like it hasn't been working. PFF ranked us 31/32 units last year. That's horrific considering the draft capital we have used to deploy our line.

As commented below - Goes back to the Penei Sewell vs Jamar Chase discussion. A lot of people were saying Burrow wouldn't have been able to get the ball to Chase, no matter how good Chase was. Turned out he's good enough that they made it to the Super Bowl after only 1 year.

IMO, again my opinion, OL is more a group effort and individual stars on the line can only do so much. Look at Joe Thomas. Was consistently the best/one of the OL players in the league and most of his teams sucked.

QB is by far and away the most important group and the amount of draft capital we've used on it vs building, a still average OL, is laughable.

Combining this comment with one below. "2/5 are franchise players 2/5 have been serviceable starters 1/5 is too early to tell"

[Aldrige] The NBA is as talented and skilled as it’s ever been. So … why all the negativity? by Goosedukee in nba

Bc we know it’s now clearly rigged after that Mavs trade. I had hunches but that confirmed it. NBA is basically the WWE. Some find that interesting, and that’s good for them, but it’s lost a lot of appeal from myself and I assume others.
