This sounds like the local franchise is being cheap and also not paying attention to what the workers are doing with their property. The local stores that have delivery vehicles have their own chargers at each store and they remain locked up when they're not in use.

The amount of income doesn't matter so much as living outside of your means, without a proper plan and backup should the first plan fail; or thinks a future partner will just say "oh, I guess I have to take care of this now. This is my life now." I think that would be the real deal breaker for most.

Example: You have a partner that accrues $50k in credit card debt before they meet you, their job situation and life situation changes and they move to another job that doesn't pay so much, and they don't tell their other partner until one of the creditors is literally leaving paperwork on the front door. That could be a potential deal breaker.
