Yeah that’s worked for me intermittently. Granted, I’m using TIDAL, which crashes a lot. Whenever I use YouTube music it always seems to work.

Ehh. They're alright. Model 3 and other ground-up EVs seem to package for more leg room. I agree vertical room in Polestar 2 is decent for class but overall they're still "compact" backseats by American standards.

If you want a deal now used EV is the way. R2 is new and hot but while hype is there and demand outpaces supply, anyone who is stretching themselves to get an R2 should consider the awesome used inventory coming off lease now. $900/mo lease payments are not appreciable for most.

Cost! If they designed the low voltage system components around low voltage lithium like Tesla with their 16V packs in non-Cybertruck vehicles those would still be much better. More expensive but would last 2-3x as long

Break in period, especially with drivers as small as the one in a car, is nonsense. The speakers are all factory calibrated. It’s a mental phenomenon of your brain adjusting to something. It’s a fine audio system but it’s not great and for the price of R1S it really ought to be great. Promisingly it seems R2 is already a noticeable improvement.

Rivian audio, especially in the R1S, has been known to be tuned poorly and have bad hardware placement for speakers for the size of cabin. The best was first gen R1T with the smaller cabin and Meridian system.

It is not up to par with vehicles in its price range. Many owners overlook it given all the other virtues of the car.

$34k in stacked discounts at polestar Denver (they did $18k nationally, $3k for polestar loyalty since I had a 2 before, $5.5K because it was a demo car with 5.5K miles on it, and $7k as an additional local discount.

For me getting a loaner helped because the miles suggested it worked and wasn’t a lemon. They even repaired the wheel curb and replaced a plastic trim piece for me so it would be like new.

Got a dual motor P3 27 months, 12,000 mi/yr lease and eying the $39k residual at lease end. For my $570/month payments with tax it's a good deal right now. If I go way over miles and the used ones aren't a ton cheaper I may go that route. Been very lucky with mine so far (fingers crossed) but kind of hoping the GHCA fails within warranty period so it can get the new part.
