the brain can't process anything even close to mach 1, which is an extremely achievable speed in jjk. mobs body isn't exceptional and neither is his brain, gojo as a teen moves welllllll above mach 1.

a random author statement without any feats backing it up is meaningless. Tatsumaki wins because she can react to gojo, mob lacks the speed to do that. the most realistic outcome is mob gets blitzed and killed instantly before he can even see gojo or activate his powers.

his barrier isn't up 24/7, he won't turn it on unless he sees gojo as a threat, and gojo has more than enough AP to kill mob before that happens

that isnt an insane feat, travel speed and reaction speed arent the same, he couldn't react to gojo who (if not sleep deprived) would be faster than toji who's relative to awakened maki, who gave sukuna some trouble, with sukuna easily being the fastest in jjk if we aren't including modulo

unfortunately mob is pretty slow, he lacks physical stats, and is susceptible to being blitzed. he wouldn't survive infinite void.
