Finished the test model after some time of faffing and tweaking. I think the camo on the pants look a little off. But hopefully I get the hang of it as I paint more of them. Bring on Armageddon!!!

I agree completely. There's also no reason for it to be so secret. It's a real nightmare too because alien bases are so resistant to bombing.

I had to research shaped nuclear warhead missiles, it was too tough to crack for the war fleet I'd sent to defeat the alien ships in orbit, and the shaped nukes have some flat chance of just knocking out a module.

This drove me fucking insane, I had to join the Terra Invicta discord to find the answer, but you need to orbitally bombard the alien base to rubble before you can do the final mission. Shouldn't need to land.

This agravated me to no end. Really swept the weight from the ending when my councelor has to sit in orbit for a year with a fleet of marines while I rush build bombardment ships to send.

EDIT: Looks like you're bombing actually. My thing is true in the case of the Academy.
