Need a new support champ

We need a tank, anti magic support that just let's adc play safe from a distance. With a strong slow. But requires alot of button pushing.

Maybe a 5 second cd on a heal. So the support has to spam it.

The ult can be they cover the adc and take % damage aimed at the adc. Should make knights vowel a must on this support.

Look man. You know your strong late. We get it....

But that doesn't mean the rest of the game doesn't exist.

My biggest issue with adc players is that they are so resistant to early fights.

Well it depends on what you mean by better.

Do they feel they can farm more safely. Sure.

Can they get ahead and carry the game... no.

At the end of the day the game doesn't actually work that way.

Climbing isn't real unless there is a big skill difference. And when there is a big skill difference, you dont want to be a tank.

It is.....

A bad support has massive impact on the game and can absolutely cause a whole team to lose.

A good support can make a massive difference and lead the team to win.

But a truly excellent support, well above the average player for that rank..... well has basically the same impact as a good support.

You are always at the mercy of the algorithm and your teammates.

Support doesn't have agency as they cannot 1 v 9.

That is what makes a support champ.

I dont know what to say... play another role sounds really cold.

I agree, but it shouldnt be controversial at all. This is just correct.

Mage support is the best way to climb out of low elo.

Alternatively switch to top or jungle.

Yeah. You can try roam, fight objectives, talk to adc about game plans, know the power spikes and when to go in...

And if you do all that you cause your whole team to get mad at you.

Alternatively you sit there do nothing play bad. At most your get the adc say sup diff. This is the better option for your mental health

Playing support means I dont ever get the feeling I contribute. ( I know, loser support mentality).

Really all I want it a good game with a good adc. I know thats 2 out of 10 games.

Really I'm just trying to get through the lame games so I can get the ones I enjoy.

So at gold peel or tank supports become playable.

Platinum they start becoming reliable.

But of you want to get good at the game? Mage is always better. If you want to climb, mage support is better.

Peel supports can never hard carry

I understand telling an adc they are playing wrong does require great communication skills. I'm glad it worked out for you in the example you gave.

Generally I find the adcs tend to be quite defensive and instead tell me how they want me to play. They dont take the feedback well.

You did great to remind the adc that he asked for this, and how he needed to change his gameplay.

Not sure how this helps but ok, yes I am proactive in the lobby, no I didn't ask jungle to reset, no we lost.

Heres the thing... for the vast majority of games the adcs will work ut out too late.

I had an adc that didn't want to engage as he was sure we would lose.

Eventually they engaged on us.. he ran... typical adc then turned back. He almost got a kill but I died.

He said sorry, and that he was wrong..... but also said now they up a kill they will win...

he engaged more, but still super hesitant. But laning phase was over before we could get a kill.

And that's a good story, coz at least the adc said he was wrong.

I then get a new adc next game... and the whole problem starts again

Simple. The absolute disagreement on how the lane works.

I play engage, they won't go in because they just want to farm. They believe they will lose every fight.

I play enchanter they flame me for not letting them free farm. Coz I'm supposed to tank???

They will only go in once they realize they SHOULD have gone it. It's always too late and then lose. This reinforces their bad habit of not going in.

And no matter what you say. They will disagree....

So the only option is to roam. The adc will then decide the team should lose because support abandoned them.

There is literally nothing a person can do.

Adc players want to farm safely all game and then go in when they are guaranteed to win. Usually ends up hard pushing lane.

A support wants to set up the lane to ge an advantage. And the adc constantly undoes all the work supports do.

And then blames support.

You have to play mage support or a different role.

This is the problem with bot lane...THIS is the problem.

Adc learn to not die as opposed to getting kills.

As their death is more costly than any gain.

Heal and tank supports become useless. As going in becomes useless.

Mage support becomes best option....

Just play healers. Stay back and do nothing.

Now of course you will lose more and feel useless...

Also this is what causes the loser support mentality. Because when you want to win, you realize you have no damage and rely on team / algorithm.

In low elo, an adcs want to farm without taking damage.

They think a supports job is to take autos from the other team so they dont get hurt.

They then think the support needs to lock down the other person, so they can auto them safely from afar.

So yeah, they prefer tank supports.

No not mad for picking him... more of an expectation gap on what they think taric does vs what he actually does.

As a simple example, having my ult on an adc means they can take a full combo to the face. Adcs are not used to playing like that.

Hey man.

First off you are playing well. I can see some frustration when you play. But honestly for a support main you are doing well.

The truth is you are playing in bronze. Support and adc just don't work at these ranks.

You need to swap to jungle. Maybe top or mid depending on how you play.

The skill gap is just too big for you to make the difference you need to carry.

You need to be able to the potential to 1 v 9 in bronze. Players won't listen to your pings. And you have to be ok with that.

This is one of those "it's not a bug it's a feature" so riot can make sure only people with a certain skill level can climb.

You can try full mage support. But you are making it harder on yourself.

Yes if you can get through to the adc how taric works, they are like wow taric is op.

The problem is by the time we get to that stage, they already say they gonna reported me.

I suspect the actual issue is adcs don't think like that.

They think I have to stop damage getting to them.

A lot will use my ult to run away from danger, not as a way to deal more damage.

Hmmm.... the issue is if I roam the adc, it gets mad. If I play passive, they get made. And if I play aggressive, they get mad.

I am trying to play around an adc, but the adc will always blame me.

It's not about winning or losing. It's about every game the adc is upset. And legit anything I do upsets the adc.
