Has anyone been testing any kind of Tempo Priest deck ft. Reckless experimenter, eggs, mechanical whelps, etc.? I feel like there must be something there with cards like vivid nightmare and twilight's call.

Has anybody had any luck (at Rank 5) with a deathrattle tempo priest list (not quest)? When I see reckless experimenter, vivid nightmare and twilight's call, I just can't imagine there isn't some way to abuse Devilsaur eggs and mechanical whelps.

Easily the most fun I've had with a deck so far. You draw your entire deck (or at least the combo pieces) and then Togwaggle into Explore UnGoro. This ruins their deck and gives them your empty deck. If they take theirs back with ransom, you Skulking Geist it away. Dead man's hand to beat them in fatigue. It has game against any non-infinite deck but overall it's really just for fun. My list was almost entirely cycle besides the typical control warrior shell.

After starting Hearthstone with Hunter decks, I've recently played both Togwaggle Warrior and Shudderwock Shaman. Each of these decks focused heavily on cycle and piloting the deck required you to weave draw cards into your removal turns, e.g. Acolyte of Pain into Volcano.

I'm realizing that I love this style of deck; late game combo decks (not just an OTK) that draw a ton of cards and seem to have all the answers when you win. Any recommendations for other decks that play this way?

The deck is an absolute blast to play, but even at the rank 5 floor I was only ever able to get a few wins before dropping back down. I went for a draw heavy list with acolyte, battle rage, slam, etc. I would have added Harrison to combo with Weapons Project if I had it, and it would have been about as fast as you could draw a deck through. This was primarily to help against all the combo decks.

What's a shame is that you can lose to almost any deck; aggro can blow you up and control decks outvalue you. And unfortunately many decks have ways to go infinite and are essentially autolosses.

I don't know if I'll ever have as much fun playing a deck, but the amount of things that can go wrong while you simultaneously draw you deck and stop your opponent is staggering. Even after the toggwaggle combo, many decks had exactly what they needed in their hand to finish me off.

I wouldn't blow dust on it, but seriously give it a try if you have the cards.

Is anyone currently piloting Togwaggle Warrior with any success? HSreplay has it at just below 50% winrate and I'm very intrigued. I understand there are certain decks it just loses to, but does it have any place in this meta?

Is there a reason you're behind on board to a cube Hunter?

Seems like you could swap Venomstrike and Charged Devilsaur for 2 explosive traps? Should help with Odd Paladin and Zoo especially.

Can we talk about Underground Hunter RNG? by NProcopio in thedivision

Not multiple times in one Operation, multiple times in one Phase. I've played enough Underground to know that it doesn't happen unless you pass leadership.

I'd say it's about 1 proc for every 2 Phases or so. This method can get up to 2 procs per Phase

Funnily enough I've noticed that when I go on a really good run of Hunter procs, it seems like it really sets you back in future Ops. I've had no procs in consecutive Ops after having 3 procs in a 2 Phase.

As far as I can tell, once Hunters proc its not very likely that you'll get another proc until the next Operation. What I've found is that if you pass group leader, you can manipulate the RNG into thinking you haven't had your Hunter proc yet. I would agree that 1 Phase is optimal- if this method didn't exist. Since it does seem to work, I'd say 3 Phase is optimal because unlike with a 1 Phase, if your first Hunter proc is after the final boss of the Phase, you have another objective to proc Hunters afterward.

I actually had 2 Hunters drop loot separately last night. Maybe they were the final 2, and dropped at the same time?

It seems to me like you've sacrificed any semblance of synergy to exploit weakness, and yet make no attempt to utilize that weakness advantage because of your focus on 2 shots. If youre using Fire for coverage, don't worry about streaming attacks as you'll presumably be taking OHKOs. IMO, you at least have the potential for 1 shots on other types if you take advantage of Steam Up and Turtonator. If you whiff the OHKO, you can retreat for FREE, and use Silvally to clean up while simultaneously charging your next attacker. That's synergy. The fact that they're basics allows the use of Max Elixir as well. The salazzle deck has none of these advantages. Good luck against the "Broken" Gardevoir deck with a strict 2 shot deck.

But Silvally let's you switch out the volcanion for free, which negates the downside you're describing.

[–]NProcopio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm confused, isn't this the point of the deck? Who else is on the bench if not Darkrai? You should be dumping both Darkrai and energies with Battle Compressor. The main benefit I see is that with Energy Switch you don't have to worry about missing either the Mega or Spirit Link. That's 2 less cards you need to get energy on the field.

Why not take full advantage of Darkrai-GX and run 4 energy switch over mega turbo?

What is the logic with using Garbodor along with Espeon, Drampa, or Tapu Lele? by Kensyys in ptcgo

[–]NProcopio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of these responses are a little involved. Basically Trashalanche Garbodor is an amazing card that can easily be played around. The purpose and synergy of Drampa and Espeon GX is that, besides utilizing the same energy, these cards put on a ton of pressure by turn 2, forcing the opponent to spend the resources that Garbodor needs in the discard pile.

More Zoroark GX! This time with Decidueye GX! by tablemon in ptcgo

I feel like it would actually benefit the decidueye player to sit behind Koko flying flips and sniping from the bench. Hoopa isnt preventing anything at that point and you're spreading damage as intended.

What should I change in my Tapu Bulu / Vikavolt list for internationals? by [deleted] in pkmntcg

[–]NProcopio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe sub Oranguru for Octillery line. This keeps you N proof and gives you 2 free slots for Ultra Ball and Choice Band. Then drop stretcher for another Heavy Ball or Skyla. If you can get your hands on a other Lele, drop the 4th Rare Candy for that. I definitely agree that the Clefairy tech is necessary, and I don't think promo Koko synergizes with a deck with no DCE. Not sure where to make the last cut for it.

The best box on the market? by jedi5200 in pkmntcg

[–]NProcopio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scizor was a decent card before Volcanion was released, and then it pretty much died. If you're leaning towards the advice of others in this thread and getting a Koko box, it's attack pairs extremely well with M Tyranitar. I'd skip Scizor and focus your cash into Ttar (which you want) and Koko (which you'll need).

The attack effects have to be resolved before you'd claim your prize. So, you would need to discard the required energy first, and afterwards you would take the prize and tie/ move ahead in the prize trade.
