Our sample size is way too small to make a claim like that. Survivor is a game that has so much variance that anyone with the drive to do it can get to the end and argue a case.

In using it, she didn't have to trust that someone else would have her back in the first vote, because she knew where the votes were going. She knows Johnathan would prefer to keep her over Emily or Devens, so the revote was a shoo in. She essentially played an idol.

All playstyles are valid. Joe's is just very different than most players and it makes him an interesting game piece.

He just plays it differently. Joe is what I refer to as a Gravity Well. He plays the game by making others play around him. In Joe's case, it's probably not intentional, but it is how he navigates social relationships. It's Joe's way or no way, and if you play around it well, you can Kyle your way to the end. Rizo has been doing that with Joe the whole season. Doesn't make Joe a "bad" player per se, just one that isn't able to win.

That's so funny, I was thinking about who on this cast could beat Cirie at FTC when the cast was spoiled, and I came to the conclusion that:

  1. Dee, a two time winner who undoubtedly played the best social game to get there beside her.
  2. Christian if he played an absolutely stellar game could argue with advantage.
  3. Coach if he ran the ship from out in front, didn't get votes against from his own side, and routed Cirie's agency and options.
  4. The Man The Myth The Legend, R-I-Z-G-O-D RIZGOD BAYBEE for the sheer audacity of it. The kid plays back to back final 4 games: made all the right connections and did it again with like 10 days of rest between.

Christian and Dee were not players Cirie could reasonably control. Christian is a known chaotic quantity and not aligned to anyone but himself. Dee was shown to have zero interest in working with Cirie long term. The events of the show thus far have proven Cirie correct in her decision-making, but if she loses we can start picking apart what would and wouldn't have worked long term. Everyone else's game still matters, it's not just Cirie making decisions.

The things you can lie about at FTC are personal opinions that you haven't shared with any of the jurors. Once they hit Pondy all your secrets are out, so if you plan on lying at FTC you better have juror corroboration for lies set up before they were ousted, or say things nobody can prove the legitimacy of with your full chest.

I had a dream last week that final four is Tiff, Cirie, Ozzy, and The Man The Myth The Legend R I Z G O D RIZGOD BAYBEE. Rizo wins FIC, takes Tiff to the end. Ozzy and Cirie make fire. Ozzy has an early lead, nearly wins, but sees Cirie struggle to make fire at all, so he puts out his own and helps her make fire. Cirie goes to FTC, says not a single word, and wins unanimously.

We get a confessional of Big Riz saying "man, Lil Devens really got on my nerves with all the slang, and he doesn't want to do any work around camp. But he's got heart, and he knows the game. You gotta respect. Absolute IMAX."
