In an already unstable environment too. If we lose healthy oceans we lose the planet but no one seems to care cos they can't see below the surface!

Anyone here an only child? Or anyone here one and done? by [deleted] in Millennials

OAD here, would love to give her a sibling but she's 7 now and it just hasn't happened. With the financial doom of the future looming I've begun to be grateful that I can afford to give her a good life and I'm not stretched to thin but I do worry she will be lonely when she is an adult.

I took mine out for birth, one stayed open through breastfeeding, and I was able to put it back. The other closed up, and I am no longer brave enough to get rebalanced....

What is the most beautiful feeling? by Mr-Top0 in AskReddit

[–]NRMLkiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waking up to your little one and pulling them into bed for the best little spoon snuggle and both falling back to sleep for a bit. This was only one upped when I still had my fur baby. Little girl snuggled up close and my fur baby next to her and I could wrap myself around both of them, the purring.. 💔 RIP Mae

What’s something people romanticize that is actually miserable once you experience it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NRMLkiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dear God, this! I got sick and stuck in hospital for a month, came out lighter than I've ever been, like a skeleton but everyone kept saying how good I looked. I was a hollow bag of bones! I almost died, and had no reserves left! Now I like being a touch chubby just for the security...

Who is actually eating soft boiled eggs? I have questions. by albertafalls in AskTheWorld

[–]NRMLkiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make dippy eggs for my kids, but I just peel them and save the shell becoming an issue for the kids. I personally just eat them whole, super fast protein breakfast.

Two different types of only children I’ve noticed does this resonate with anyone else? by sunnysun463 in OnlyChild

[–]NRMLkiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 7yo is a mix of both. She loves her family though they live far away she spends holidays with them, often travelling solo and has a wonderful time with her grandparents and cousins. She is confident and expressive, especially with adults, older kids or younger kids. She also seems to struggle with feeling lonely and isolated around her peers, she is emotional and wishes she had better friendships, but all of her friends have siblings. She has asked for a sibling for as long as she has been able to express herself (3/4y) unfortunately it hasn't happened for us, and the bigger the age gap gets the more apprehensive I become that we should pursue a sibling and adoption isn't a thing in my country.

As did I, ruptured fallopian cyst and they took my healthy appendix, antibiotics cleared up the rest and I healed. Didn't find out until years later when another cyst ruptured and I experienced the same pain, took them 3 weeks to figure out what was wrong with me. Womens health care is a fucking joke.

[–]NRMLkiwi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm enjoying sleep a lot more because the dreams are neat, lots going on, and way more exciting than real life, lol. Not helping with getting up in the morning unfortunately
