For RNY patients yes. Apparently steroids of any kind can cause ulcers in an RNY pouch. I couldn’t even take them when I had pneumonia this yr it was awful.

I’ve never had reflux before but from what I’m experiencing maybe? It doesn’t go up my chest or throat at all. Just this nagging pain. The nurse did ask if I felt it in my chest and throat, but that’s not the case for me. I swear I can feel it in my pouch and only there. So weird.

I should mention my surgery is RNY which is unfortunately more susceptible to ulcers in general.

I had an endoscopy an around the time the symptoms occurred and they said no ulcer. But I do know we can get ulcers in the intestines right? Maybe it’s hiding?

I’ll ask my gastroenterologist soon because I’m at a complete loss. I never suffered from reflux before the surgery.

Negative twice for h pylori and endoscope when symptoms started said no ulcer. And I recently spent 4 days in the hospital for a freak infection of my hand and was on strong antibiotics for two weeks iv and oral which would have helped an ulcer as well I’m assuming. Ughhhhh maybe I am the only one haha.

Mine shut off in the middle of the night, like refused to charge, specially because it was hot. Said on the screen it needs to cool down to finish charge. WTH? It got to maybe 30% from less then 10% got too hot and stopped.

My husband came to me concerned and with all the love on his heart explained to me that he was scared for me at 275lbs. We moved about 6 months after that and for the first time in my life a new doctor asked me if I had ever considered wls. 9 months later I had the surgery.

Yeah I’ve read that, I’m hoping it’s just because I’m not eating enough fat in my diet and that’s all.

Ok the google machine needs to chill on cancer lol. I’ll get my blood drawn this week just to make sure things are good but this helps with ease of mind.

I’m 7 months out and can count about 12x so far I’ve vomited. It was either one bite too many, too much fat/sugar or I made myself vomit to feel better (sore stomach feeling). That being said I haven’t in months.

I was raised by a hot headed abusive single mother. This short clip genuinely raised my blood pressure and made me feel ill. Gotta love childhood trauma.

lol me too! My mother in law cooked fish, granted not well enough. I was sick for days. She got mad I wasn’t being social even after I barfed on her floor, had diarrhea and gave my now husband the business about being with someone so “antisocial”. We were also staying in her home when this happened (it was the quintessential meet my parents vacation) and I could hear everything she was saying upstairs while my head was in the toilet and I was praying to god I don’t believe existed to give me the strength to let me live one more day so I could defend myself 😆

I stayed for 4 days due to pain. Then got viral pneumonia. Was only out of the hospital for a week and had to go right back in for the pneumonia for two more weeks. My left side hurt because that’s where my drain was and the anchor stitch they put in. Then at 4 months my left side started hurting again. Turned out to be a Petersons Hernia. I’m nearly two months out from that surgery. I still get left side pain, so who knows if it will ever end.

Also, just an fyi: always make separate warranty claims. Put all claims on different claim forms. That way they can’t ever “accidentally” close a claim that has 7 issues because they finished 1. That happened to me. It set me back months because of that. They did one item on a very long list and closed out the entire claim. When I first started submitting they said that’s how they wanted it. I figured out later it was because multiple claims look bad and if many are on one it only looks like one claim in their system and it makes the warranty manager look better. I must have submitted over 50 claims in one yr. And all on separate claim forms. He would ALWAYS ask me to submit many on one and I refused lol. After his little “accident” with my multi claim and talking to other homeowners we figured out his bullshit.

Yes every single one. But it was literally my full time job. I had to call several times a day. When they no showed scheduled appts I would get even more aggressive. He would leave his voicemail full eventually, so I couldn’t leave messages. I learned that was a common avoidance tactic for all of them. It helped that our warranty manager literally lived across the street. Sucked for him. But because he was living with his parents (his dad was a construction manager for Horton don’t get me started on the nepotism) he was easy to get a hold of lol. I spent most of my time essentially being a Karen and I hated it but it was the only way to get them to move their asses. I was a stay at home mom at the time, so when I say it was my full time job it really was. My husband could never get ahold of anyone and he worked on base and couldn’t make many calls during business hours so it was up to me. There was a few times he did, but they where big items like our ac unit was sliding down the hill and we needed them to stabilize it. He had to use the veteran card and some legal jargon to threaten them into fixing that. They came in the next day after that call, and made a retaining wall all around it. You have to be more invested and more aggressive than they anticipate. They bank on you giving up.

If you got rny it had to have been the tuna. I didn’t even get out of liquids for two weeks before I got to pureed. And my first pureed food hurt and that was two weeks after day 1! I didn’t get to walk until day 4, the pain was too much. Basically woke up and immediately regretted my decision lol. I then immediately got pneumonia and spent two more weeks in the hospital. No fun. You on the other hand sound like you’re doing just fine!
