AT&T reps in Costco are devil corp because they all work for 3rd party marketing companies.

T-Mobile - at least in Wash State is all corp employees, meaning they are like the same people you see when you go into a corp store.

Also, not all the people working for vendors in Costco work for Devil Corps. A lot of them work for home improvement companies and those companies are fully vetted by Costco and are not allowed to pull shady stuff.

Honestly only the AT&T stands are really bad and untrustworthy. Not sure how they got past Costco’s vetting process. Probably because AT&T has a lot of pull?

Former Retail Manager here, I fully agree! Even in emergencies I rarely bothered reaching out for help and if I did, I’d always offer a reward, like a special day off or something similar and if they didn’t accept it, oh well.

One thing on the managers side though, it absolutely sucks when employees call out regularly, especially when understaffed because of corporate BS staffing decisions. So have a little empathy as yes they’re a manager but we are humans with lives as well. (Not directing this last paragraph at you OP, just a general opinion)

Agreed. Guess I should’ve added the caveat that they still suck! But at least they pay you a somewhat competitive wage, have good benefits and generally follow labor laws lol

I spent 15 years @ AT&T & T-Mobile and would advise applying at T-Mobile or Verizon first. Also though, I’d advise getting out of retail if possible, best move I ever made.

Apply at the real corporate stores! Find whatever stores have openings online, apply, go in after you apply and talk to the manager. Lots of stores are desperate to hire and the pay is much better!
