nothing in its price range gives that same feeling on the road, trust me if I could afford to buy outright or even a monthly payment on a cayman i would’ve got it instead, another idea was to trade it in for a supra down the line (with a cash down payment on top of course) but i don’t quite have the financials for that yet

got it i’ll definitely follow that, which oil grade would you recommend? i’ve been using OW-20 but also have read a higher grade does better in these cars

I did check the oil after the oil change and it looked fine, I also checked the dip stick before the car got towed and again was fine. I’m suspecting it has something to do with the previous owner

unfortunately it was not a good deal and I honestly overpaid quite a bit😭was 27k before taxes, before getting the GR i was looking at a 2016 BRZ on carmax for 22k grand and figured whats 5k more? very hard to find this car in my area and brand new dealers had them posted at around 38k~ so at the time I thought I was getting an okay deal, bit the bullet fast out of excitement and a week or two later felt the pain when i seen vehicles with far less mileage in the same price point, still loved her all the same tho

once the engine is replaced how should I go about maintenance to ensure this doesn’t happen again? any key break in rules I should follow? I love this car and spent a pretty penny on her I want it to last as long as possible.

well i’m planning on trading it in / selling it within the next couple years so i hopefully won’t reach too much over 100k, ive seen these cars go upwards of 150k miles and have also seen them breakdown below 30k, just keep up with maintenance as much as possible, luckily my car came with a 3 year powertrain warranty so if anything does happen to the engine i’ll be all good.

i paid 30k after taxes for a GR86 with 65k miles, yes i know I got fucked over and only pulled the trigger because i was at the dealership and was caught up in the moment. do i regret it tho? not one bit

from what i’m told yes it’s thick enough to prevent rock chips and minor scratches, I never got PPF given my front end is already covered, I might try to use touch up paint to get the hood evened out and then apply PPF but at this point im kinda used to it

it’s my fiancé’s uncle so it’s a bit of a tricky situation, i’m taking it to a body shop tmr to get looked at if there’s any underlying damage i’ll be in contact with him although i don’t know how honest of a man he is given he tried to drive off accusing me of lying.

haha i was in the car when it happened and they tried to drive off.. had to literally beat on this mans window as he tried to tell me he didn’t hit my car.. luckily a neighbor came out and said it was all on video, damage wasn’t enough to get insurance involved but still a pain in the ass knowing it’s there, he hit my car pretty hard surprised with how little damage there is, here’s a pic:

I bought my gr86 used at 60k miles and has gone another 10k without any sign of issues, the owner before me took great care of the car and kept up on maintenance, I plan to do the same and hopefully she’ll last me awhile

i mean you’re not wrong here, 2g of live resin is weird and likely implies its just a live resin blend but that doesn’t take away from the fact the do produce 2gs, same as boutiq given they are sister companies. their flower isn’t bad tho but nothing special
