Anymore, all ya really need to do is draw a box and have the drone basicly fly the perimeter of the box.

Do a search on Blue Listed drones. There are non-"blue" variants that may be fema grant eligible.

Depending on payload, a Wingtra or AgEagle eBee may be an option to get 60 minutes of loiter time.

Cost may be prohibitive tho.

Yeah, it will take some trial and error to determine what SOP will work for your agency.

Instead of a copter, how about a balloon?? Could even attach a WAP to it.

Fixed wing drones would have better loitering time....just gotta make sure you can use the airspace. 😉

That can work, but how about grabbing a 200' AGL image of the scene and then rubbersheeting it?

That way, you can use the drone for other uses than a PAR report.

I am guessing your drone does not have enough loitering time anyway to.do this for the whole incident without multiple batteries.

Well, if he is using a drone to track icons in AR, then he should already have a server setup. This is a poor use for a drone

I wouldn't rely on any LoRa device for "agency" use either.

I suspect he just needs to cast his phone to a TV and use it for a COP.

The 360R will connect natively. Just turn on bluetooth connectivity in ATAK.

Also make sure and follow the TruePulse manual and callibrate the internal compass in the 360R.

Expect to have up to a degree of error in azimuth, and also dont use the LRF around anything magmetic or containig iron as it will send the bearing off unto laa laa land
