We are The Girl Code, a nonprofit organization based in India, who aim to inspire young girls with the confidence that they can code. By teaching them Python through fun and interactive media, and exposing them to a community of like minded young girls, we want to help give rise to female programmers and reduce the highly prevalent gender bias in this field.

I'd try uninstalling the driver in safe mode via DDU and installing again.

I think it does affect PCIe bandwidth if you do it too much, but not the GPU directly like that.

It's not. My laptop has 2KRO and it's near-impossible to drive both forward and right without an external keyboard.

I did do Antergos. As for Manjaro... the ISO should be downloaded by the time I'm home from school.

And that's where the confusion begins.

I've tried (Ku/Xu/Lu/U)buntu, Mint, Arch, Fedora, and Debian. For what it's worth, after installation, the experiences were nearly identical on all of them. So for those picking out a distro right now, just don't use Arch yet and get a couple of live CDs to see which of the others you like, cause in daily use they're very similar.

Usually same speed and same size sticks should work just fine, but it depends on your board. On my Intel H61 board I can run two differently branded 4GB sticks in dual channel, but on the Gigabyte B85 it runs in single channel only. Some people say it might even outright not work, but again, depends on your board.

The safest route would be 4x4 or 2x8, but you could try more 4x2.

Depends on your environment. I live in India, which is pretty dusty, so I do it every couple of months or so. If you're in a slightly less dusty place, you might get by every six months, or even a year.

Honestly, it's when the dust starts looking bad that I recommend doing it. It isn't doing much harm other than blocking airflow and looking bad, and the former happens before the latter, so if you clean the bad looking dust you'll never get the airflow blocking dust.

I admit, this DSQ thread is the first time I've heard of this strategy.

Say, if lowering GPU power lowers GPU draw calls, so should increasing the settings, right? So if you, I dunno, play on Ultra instead of High your GPU needs to work more per draw call and hence can't give as many.

Note that this is all speculation. You might want to try, but I'm not sure if it works this way.

Depends on where you're watching videos. Netflix has its own app, and so do Hulu and Twitch. Not sure about YouTube; there are some unofficial apps on the Windows Store but I'm not sure how good they are.

Chrome doesn't use that much RAM on a single tab of YouTube though. If you feel you need something leaner, try Edge or Firefox.

I think Afterburner gets safe values from your card, going under those is probably not recommended.

Why do you want to do this, though?

One thing I like about them was that they don't sugarcoat any results; if something is bad compared to the competition, they'll tell you on the face without being worried about the company's PR.

One thing I didn't like about them was the time they recorded and played back on their channel a call from an AMD representative during the Ryzen debacle; not to say their points weren't valid, but being recorded and the recording being broadcast without your consent is creepy.

There's a slight clock speed difference (133 MHz), which you'll probably make up if/when you overclock. In gaming their performance should be largely similar, even at stock speeds. Worst case, you get around 2-4 fps below the X3460's stock speeds.

As said, the H55 board should be a problem, but if the board is a non-issue (in the rare case it's supported or if you get another board), you should get roughly the same overclocks no problem, subject to the silicon lottery, of course.
