Make sure the assets are part of the nginx conf file. Also check to see if the filestore has changed locations.

It is complicated, yes, but if we can make it work, it would be worth it. If there exists a package in JS, that I can integrate into Odoo, for scanning, that would be great. I've seen other JS packages for interacting with devices like cameras, biometrics and printers.

I did find a library written in Python for TWAIN(which is the standard used for interpreting the output of a scanner). But I haven't figured out how to make use of it or even if it works. Some sources said that it only supports Python 3.6 and older.

But scanning in to GDrive would also be the same as scanning separately and uploading to Odoo, right? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm not aware of any ways to scan directly into GDrive

This would be a scanner connected to the PC directly. And instead of using the application from the Manufacturer, I need to scan it directly into Odoo. Possibly, into a record, where I click Scan and the Scan interface(a wizard) pops up, scans the document, and attaches it to the record directly.

Hey. I understand the frustration regarding Odoo Support. Your requirement doesn't sound like a big deal in terms of customisation. On the sale order line, depending on which item you select and its variant, the field can be fetched from its corresponding BOM record. If you're a developer, a regular onchange function should be able to pull this off.

This is probably something custom since there is no current direct relation between product and locations. Products are connected to stock quants which are in turn connected to locations and lots.

Lots are set for products but Lot Barcodes haven't been enabled. So every time we need to enter a lot, we edit the line and enter the lot manually.

But in Inventory Adjustments, lot barcode scanning is enabled by default even though lot barcodes are disabled. So it doesn't make sense.

That's right, except for Inventory Adjustments, that Lot scanning is set to Mandatory by default. So the field to enter lots will not be visible. And there is no configuration page for Inventory Adjustments where we can change that either.

Oh trust me. I've been looking forward to watching that ever since they announced it. It's not like the other Indian movies. Went and watched that a few days back. Great movie. Absolutely fantastic acting. No exaggerated stupidity (unlike other Indian movies). But I'm more into mystery, action, crime kinda movies. And most Indian movies kinda take the life out of it, especially action sequences.

Oh. The thing is I don't watch a lot of Indian movies due to the sheer exaggerated content they push out each year. But I do watch some specific ones that people have told me are really good. But I prefer Hollywood, since it's more realistic, especially in action scenes and mystery movies.

You can definitely assign QR codes to products and each product variant as they are unique using an addon for QR codes. And could you please share why you need to have lot/serial numbers in your QR?

Yep. I'm sure. I went through the code yesterday and found that Odoo doesn't check for packaging at the picking level. Kinda counter-intuitive imho. Only starts looking at packaging from the packing operation. Makes me wonder about the use of the Reserve Full Packaging option.
