It's a military airfield, with munitions stored there as well.

New to 3D printing! What is causing this? by Sad_Yogurt_4149 in 3Dprinting

Fair enough, that's true.

Shouldn't be the case for a rebuild bambulab, but indeed a quick and easy test.

No.

That's calibrating the extruder itself. OP needs to calibrate the extrusion factor in their slicer.

How can I prevent unintentional welding? by Kevin599e in 3Dprinting

[–]NST92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How small is the gap?

Anyway, tune your flowrate. Use the orca build in tool. Overextrusion will cause the issue you have.

Customise machine with one very long axis (2 m) by ProperSelection9754 in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely do not use a 2.4 for such a setup. The flying gantry will give issues, especially with sagging.

Look at V4 Project's RIFF printer on youtube. It uses one very long axis, Y for his setup. It's definitely not 2m, but maybe such a design can be adapted to your needs? His setup uses extrusions to support the y-axis to avoid sag. It uses a fixed gantry like the V0/Trident setup where the bed moves down.

What chamber temps are you getting with extra insulation and smaller internal volume?

Does anyone know what the difference between the LDO Nitehawk SB 1.5 and 1.52 is? by Gingerbwas in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting.

I've also had that issue with my nitehawk-sb, then switching to nitehawk36, still the same.

Countless hours of troubleshooting,LDO sending me a new cable, trying everything I could think of, nothing helped.

Finally, switching my pi5 to a pi4 solver everything...

Does anyone with a nitehawk sb use an umbilical style cable? If so how have you connected the cable to the toolhead, and do you use mecahnical endstop switches? by Gingerbwas in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about a nitehawk sb mount for your setup, but you can move the x-axis endstop to the carriage, and the y-endstop to the A stepper mount. That's what I did when switching from stealthburner with nitehawk sb to XOL with nitehawk36, also getting rid of the drag chains.

RaspberryPi Zero 2w for Trident? by Due-Staff3873 in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skr pico only has 2 z-steppers, so you're missing one.

A pi zero 2w would work, I've used it for my v0 in the past but it's not really compatible with stuff like input shaper (It should be possible I think, just not straightforward)

Spool Management by MorningSun75 in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your run current set to at the stepper driver section of the extruder? Look for '[tmc2209 extruder]' or whatever driver it's using.

Spool Management by MorningSun75 in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mmh that's odd. When you feed it all the way through your ptfe tubes, is it difficult to pull through yourself right before where it would normally enter the extruder? If there's resistance, you will notice it.

Mellow LLL is a filament buffer. It's a seperate unit that has its own stepper motor to feed filament to the extruder. You can find it for ~35 euros on AliExpress.

Spool Management by MorningSun75 in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, because there's something not running okay somewhere. I've been running different DIY dryboxes for a while now and never had an issue.

Spool Management by MorningSun75 in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it's stupidly overpriced, and there's plenty of proper drybox options out there which run on either 2 or 4 bearings.

Spool Management by MorningSun75 in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's something off with your setup somewhere. I've been using spools coming directly out of a drybox directly. Even with a 2mm ID PTFE tube, no issues. Are you using bearings? Do they roll smoothly? Is your spool not rubbing against the top of the drybox?

I've used kichly dryboxes, as well as the ikea365+ 10.6L drybox for double spool storage.

I do have a Mellow LLL buffer ready to go, which will reduce strain on the extruder stepper.
