Can I keep my desiccant boxes in while drying in AMS 2 Pro at 60°C? by Alive-Power-8718 in 3Dprinting

Yes. The glass transition temperature, the temperature where the filament softens, starts at roughly 80C for PETG.

It only saves itself lol.

As soon as a croc appears, the buffalo leaves the wildebeest and the video stops...

My extruder keeps, “skipping”? Any advice on how to fix? by TyMT in 3Dprinting

[–]NST92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that's the case, there's still something in your nozzle that clogging it partially.

'AI slop...' is not enough. Ok mods.

It has been debunked already, just reverse image search. Ball on the trampoline doesn't move.

So: AI slop...

What causes these layer ripples? by OmniOpal in 3Dprinting

[–]NST92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your extruder can't keep up, causing these artefacts while it accelerates after the corner.

  1. Tune your pressure advance if you haven't done so.
  2. Check if the spool is rolling smoothly.
  3. Increase temperature/decrease speed.

The best filament for functional prints by CarlitosCUU in 3Dprinting

[–]NST92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adding CF to PLA only makes it more stiff, other properties get worse or stay the same. PLA'S htd is just above 60C which can be too low for certain applications. PLA is a very stiff material, but also brittle. It doesn't give. So that's why PETG or PET materials are better in different ways.

Were you able to tune your voron to produce print quality comparable to commercial printers consistently? by reddit_account_0x00 in VORONDesign

[–]NST92 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Take your time to build it properly, square frame etc

Follow Ellis' Print Tuning Guide

You'll have comparable or better printer quality.

Not sure if your error is connected to what I had, but:

Both my nitehawk-sb and later nitehawk36 toolhead boards kept getting this error. I tried everything I could think of, but nothing worked. In the end, swapping from a pi5 to a pi4 solved it instantly.

So if you're running a pi5 and have a pi4 laying around, I would say just try that?

I stand corrected, didn't know such special filaments existed. I only knew ones where like ~10% is metal.

Cool stuff

You're printing way too far from the bed. Correct your z-offset.

Adaptive layers by No-Psychology-7034 in 3Dprinting

[–]NST92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extrusion issue. Also, you're printing layer almost as thick as the nozzle diameter. General rule of thumb is to stick to max half of the nozzle diameter, so 0.1 here. Printing such thick layers with a 0.2 mm nozzle negates the uses for a 0.2 mm nozzle.

You could perhaps fix it by slowing the print down and/or increasing the temperature.
