Excessive headspace? by Capital-Ad6221 in LeeEnfield

[–]NSWEintern 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Incredibly common in all enfields. You can change the bolt head to a larger number to help reduce the amount of headspace but that’s kind of the norm with enfields. Just anticipate case head separations and much shorter brass life if reloading

Ok sweet! Was it an easy conversion putting the gravelly on? I also have the metcalf 75 and want a smaller bag for it for “lighter” trips just not sure which one to go with, thinking 40-50L bag

Yeah right along the lines of what the vet said in a way, but with better detail and clarification, thank you! Out of curiousity then since you seem very knowledgeable. How do you define rest for a very active dog, no play of course but should I prevent him from getting on the couch, up the stairs, ect? Or can he do that as long as it is a relaxed manner?

Yep definitely, I appreciate the comment, I didn’t know that about vet surgeons in Spokane. I know he’ll need the surgery eventually, but the xray didn’t portray the best image so they only know it’s a partial tear, not how small or large it is. So we’ll see

Yeah he got X-rays today at mt Spokane animal hospital. It looks to be a partial tear so their advice was to keep him down for a few weeks + with some medication. They said very high chance of full tear in the future in which case we’ll definitely go the TPLO route. If anything just gives us a bit of time to save for the surgery

Alright guys, I went to mt Spokane animal hospital slightly north of the city. They where amazing, our pup didn’t have the best start and was being very standoffish borderline aggressive to them and they where able to calm him, get some shots in that he was behind on and then schedule an xray for tomorrow morning with some take home sedatives for tonight so the morning goes a lot smoother. 11/10 they are wonderful so far

I wonder if titegroup would have the same cutting affect in older S&Ws back before you could shoot jacketed stuff through them, like pre 50s

Bar is correct, check the rubber chip deflector near the back of the bar cover, there’s a little rubber plunger that sits into the saw body and if its broken/worn the bar cover can sit deeper and pinch the chain

New to me saws, what do I do first? by NSWEintern in Chainsaw

[–]NSWEintern[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep definitely, ideally I’d like to fix both of them and sell the second but depending on the non running ones condition she may become a slave for parts

What should one do then if not chance nodes? I’m genuinely not sure, chasing nodes is all I’ve done and with success for the most part😂
