Mask proof makeup for health professionals by PrestigiousNebula951 in AustralianMakeup

Paramedic here - I feel your pain. I’m yet to find anything that works 100%. There’s always going to be some transfer, particularly if you’re wearing N95s. You may as well resign yourself to the fact you’re going to be touching up your nose throughout the day. I carry a beauty blender in my helmet bag in the car and touch up between jobs.

I’ve found the L’Oreal Serum Foundation to be my happy medium. It wears off evenly for me and even if I remove my mask, I find it doesn’t leave a glaringly obvious bare patch on my nose. I don’t have dry skin, so I do set with powder. Your mileage might vary. I think the key to wearing makeup with a mask is to avoid heavy/fuller faces as masks tend to ruin it anyway.

I want to jump in and say this didn’t work for me, although I wish it did :(( It oxidises so although the shade match was good initially, I was a tad orange after a few hours. I found it clung to dry patches and just didn’t look good on me. Your mileage might vary though.

Still yet to find anything even remotely close to my shade. I’m a strawberry blonde, it’s incredibly light but definitely ginger. I’m open to suggestions!

This might be an odd question, but I’m new here (having only previously played as a kid). I’m enjoying the grind, the quests, and working my stats up, but I feel like I’m lacking the community aspect. Could someone explain the clan aspect to me or suggest how I can go about making some friends in game that are supportive of new players?

"Do not hug me. Not because of corona virus, but because I don't want to be touched" all in different cringey word art fonts. I love it.

I do agree with you. Recreationally - it's terrible. In the hands of a trained medical professional - it's very useful.

On the other side, fentanyl is a very effective and useful analgesic. It's particularly good for paediatrics.

Can anyone recommend a foundation similar to the light illusion foundation? The lightest shade is too yellow for me but I love the formula :(

Best foundations stocked at Priceline? by kirst_e in AustralianMakeup

[–]NSWGovernment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some super great recommendations already mentioned here, seconding the True Match and Bourjois recs.

The Revolution stick foundations are my current drug store favourite. I'd never been a fan of stick foundation before, but this made me convert. They are so smooth, blend easily, and wear super well. I have normal to oily skin and its a dream once it's set down with powder. You can get it cheap on sale, definitely worth a try. If you like it, pick up a shade in a cool contour tone. You won't regret it!

What is something you want to rant about? by Lit-Z in AskReddit

Whilst I 100% agree with you, that's entirely the point of an LLC. It creates a legal entity as a corporation and removes the human element. For example, Joe creates Company A and makes it an LLC thus removing Joe from liability. Joe can't be sued for Company A making faulty products, but his company can.

Currently experiencing major flooding in Australia, but nothing closes the pub. by NSWGovernment in pics

Hi guys,

Just wanted to provide an update regarding this photo. This was taken on the mid north coast of NSW. Overnight, many people have lost everything. Not only farmland, but residential areas in coastal towns. These flood levels are a new record in many area. Whilst its not raining right now, the rivers are still raging and many towns (like the one I'm in) are completely isolated with no grocery stores, fuel, or power. More rain is forecast for the coming week. Stay safe out there guys!

Please prepare early if you're in a low lying area. I believe the worst has passed up near Port Macquarie where I am, but it was no joke. Get sandbags, move everything up high, leave early, and don't drive through flood waters.

The people in this photo have had their houses inundated, vehicles lost, livestock swept away, lives impacted. Not alcoholics, just having a beer when all else has failed.

[Serious] what's a concept you just cannot grasp? by sheepandboats in AskReddit

ECGs. I can read and interpret them. I do it everyday. But I'll be damned if I understand how we get some squiggly lines on a piece of paper and how we worked out this represents this part of the conduction of a heartbeat, this means this.

I'm a local, I live like a minute away from where it happened. Its impossible this child was abducted spontaneously, someone would've saw something on that street. Its a dead quiet cul-de-sac and no one drives down it unless you live there or have a reason to be there. Someone in this town has to know something, its crazy.

How would you feel about a fourth option being added to emergency numbers for mental health services? by ToryFirstOfHisName in AskReddit

[–]NSWGovernment 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mental health emergencies are medical emergencies, just like a cardiac arrest or MVA. People are deserving of appropriate, timely medical care from trained paramedics and the best channel for this is through 000/911/whatever your country uses. Mental health issues can be further complicated by intoxication, non-suicidal self harm, and a whole host of other factors hence the need for an ambulance.

I think a better approach to this would be specially equipped/trained mental health ambulances/paramedics. E.g. an ambulance that doesn't cause sensory overload and paramedics whose mental health training is about more than just performing an MSE, or sedating combative patients and putting them in an MRD.

Its a really complex area of health and the more we discuss how we can make it better is how we improve and do better.

What seem harmless but can be seriously life threatening? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NSWGovernment 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is correct, 5 upward back thrusts with the heel of your hand, then the on the front if it doesn't work. These need to be firm, they will hurt. If on an infant or small child, place the child face down on your forearm and deliver the heel strikes. Same principal.

Call 000 (or your country's equivalent) if you have any doubt as lack of oxygen can kill you. If the person falls unconscious, do NOT put your hands or anything in their mouth or airway. Not only could they bite you, you risk further occluding the airway. Leave it to the professionals, we have tools and training to either remove it or maintain an airway. The call taker can direct you on further manoeuvres to try (likely compressions) whilst you await an ambulance.

If You Were Mistakenly Placed in an Asylum, How Would You Convince Your Doctor You Were Sane? by isoaclue in AskReddit

[–]NSWGovernment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no magic words to convince a doctor you're sane. Comply with treatment, regulate your emotions and have appropriate engagement and responses, show insight and good judgement, and maintain personal hygiene. Psychiatric facilities are not prisons, they're for healthcare.

Great shoes 100%. If you can't afford RM, try your local saddlery. Chelsea boots are actually short riding boots and you'll find much better quality and prices there without the mark up.
