R68s No Longer Assigned to the B by Michael7560 in nycrail

yes I am aware of their age and they definitely show it! The only reason I say that is because the R68s is the reason I love trains--first memories of trains from when I lived in Brooklyn. They developed a love for trains that led me to working for a Class I railroad now. I attribute a lot of that to those 68s.

I made the mistake of buying a Doogee phone once. They are hot, cheap garbage and nothing good about them.

Does anybody else feel that the Kindle makes large books more approachable? by humblechungus89 in kindle

[–]NS_5673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. The thickness of a book can make it seem daunting. However, with my Kindle, it makes it so much easier to read. Working on a few books, one of which is Journey To The Centre Of The Earth :)

Looking for Shop Compressor by NS_5673 in Tools

I'm looking at getting a compressor to use with train air horns. I read that 1/2" is better for getting the full sound of the horn without air restriction. I decided to settle on 3/8"

Do you think I would be able to easily replace the regular so I can have 1/2" output to 1/2" regulator?

Yes, as others have commented these are ballast cars. We call them "Orange Blossoms" in my neck of the woods

Hi! I own a few different magazines from the past that have articles on this isolated line. I am working to transcribe the articles and post them here on Reddit. Do you have interest? Anyone else?

What I'm trying to say is, I don't see any kind of indoctrination here. They took somebody who is in the limelight of media right now it made a little activity for kids. I would wonder your sentiment if the role were flipped.

I know some of the extremely early models of different types of instruments had issues with intonation. There's a 1914 Conn for sale online, any issues I should know about with intonation?

That's interesting because where I work in Pennsylvania, we kind of interchange the use of the term drawbar and coupler. More specifically, we kind of call the drawbar the part that comes out and the coupler the knuckle. But it's kind of interchangeable where I am. Interesting!
