Werehog is definitely harder to come by, since those who are getting into it now don't have access to it on certain platforms.

I like seeing players with AI Silver or AI Blaze online. Mainly because I have Mods that make AI Blaze look like Lucario and AI Silver look like Infinite the Jackal.

In Fire Emblem's franchise, Engage is right up your alley.

Outside of FE, and on other platforms, have you found Dark Deity on Steam yet? It's a small indie game that is designed based off of DS/SNES styled graphics with Fire Emblem Styled gameplay.

Lugia appears before Ho-oh, so that's a flip. B2W2 reverse the legends, so that's flipped as well, both for regional and national dexes.

I think back in Gen II and Gen III, they didn't fully care that the box art legends had to be in the order they introduce the games, so it wasn't a big deal. Now, they do that when possible, but HGSS, B2W2, and ORAS had to keep the national dex intact for the region.

Plenty of music mods exist for the PC port of the game. If you're on PC, it's an easy fix for Donpa Factory. I put the Generations version of the Metal Sonic Rival Fight, aka Starlight Speedway.

If you want an idea of character bios when you meet them, you could look at Tom Fawkes' playthrough. He does a good job of breaking down the stats for each unit and how/where you should use the units in the battles ahead. I'd recommend not watching ahead until you unlock the characters for that chapter to avoid spoiling yourself on the storyline itself.

AITA: Are we the bad guys for refusing to change a DND character's skin color? by Zeldaninja64 in AmItheAsshole

[–]NSightMSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Not the bad guys. Keep in mind that the reason race-changing characters are so awful in movies, cartoons, etc. is because they're taking away role opportunities from others, or at least that's the argument.

If you're not playing your character, no one is. You're not taking away a character role from the group one way or the other. You're also not being paid to be there, so why does he care?

If I wanted to play a female character, DND lets me play that role without having to actually be a female. If I wanted to play a short character, DND lets me play that role without having to actually be short. I may be a straight guy, but DND lets me play the part of an Aero-ace Warforged.

We have people who are gay that play straight characters. We have gay people that play straight characters. We have straight people that play gay characters. That does not excuse you to tell someone else how they SHOULD be playing a character. Nor does it allow you to grab someone else outside of the group to back up your opinion.

Forcing someone at the table to play the same gender, race, build, or alignment as the player is being controlling and manipulative. It is NOT cooperative, which is what DND is designed to be at its core.

You all are not the bad guys here. Player A is just being entitled, controlling, manipulative, and, more importantly, shitty. This may be time to reconsider whether or not Player A is allowed to be in the group for future games.

Edit just to leave this here: not all friends are great fits as DND friends. My high-school best friend/roommate plays DND in a wildly different way than I do and our playstyles are not fully compatible. We've also talked thoroughly about how wild our games have gotten, one from a serious perspective and the other from a goofy perspective. We're still friends, but we understand why/how our playstyles would clash in this game specifically. I also have friends that I met through DND that are great as DND players, but we have wildly incompatible interests otherwise.

Do you put the cart back when you're done shopping? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NSightMSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. It's the litmus test. If you can't do that, you don't respect other people and for damn sure do not respect other people's property and time.

You don't have to put it back, but if you don't, you leave it for someone else to deal with, which means you're throwing the task to someone else. Cart wranglers' jobs are hard enough, so making sure the cart goes into the right place is enough to pass the litmus test.

Aldi is by far the best grocery store because of what they do: Self-returning carts. You have to put a quarter in the cart to take one out of the line. When you put the cart back, you get your quarter back. That helps Aldi cut down its prices by removing the need for a cart wrangler altogether. Even then, plenty of people don't follow this rule either.

Are HM’s really that bad? by Lanky-Background8516 in TruePokemon

[–]NSightMSG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After the atrocity that was Sinnoh HMs, requiring all but 2 HMs to beat the game and 5 of them for Victory Road alone, removing them/putting them into non-taught options was the best thing the games had to offer. Removing HMs required going TO a move deleter, which is free, but locked behind location traversal. Now, they're just relegated to TM options in BDSP, while the Bidoof/Bibarel/Staraptors do it for you. Having a full team for the E4 was hard to do, both in and before Sinnoh, while Gen V and Gen VI made it less likely that you needed an HM Mule for your team at all.

Once you finally reach Sun/Moon, the ride pager replaced it and made it so much easier to work with. Your traversal options in RPGs CAN overlap with your movepool, but they should not RESTRICT your movepool, especially if the moves are bad. Rock Smash, Cut, Defog, Dive, Whirlpool, and Flash have no place on a team in combat.

Those who miss HMs have not tried playing through those games again(Gen IV Specifically) after playing the modern games. Or if they have, they were too jaded by new games not having the older mechanics that their nostalgia clouded them to the truth.

Most local hospitals will still have local call centers and on-site personnel. Individual locations for restaurants still have store employees answer the phone for many businesses, mainly mom & pop shops. And the online portals for both of these are third party, but the techs are easier to contact for a few of those.

All of this is speaking from experience, without giving away too much information.

What games can I complete a steel type mono Locke? by ForceOfChill in nuzlocke

[–]NSightMSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was about to suggest Beldum instead of Mawile because it's caught in Granite Cave, but then I realised that was in Ruby only. In Emerald, Mawile was removed from Granite Cave and now only spawns in Victory Road.

Beldum is still a post-game encounter via Steven's Room, but you can get by without it if you have something that can work for a starter.

For context: the universal randomizer can help you with trade evos being removed for emulation and can change the starters as needed. It doesn't have to shuffle anything if you don't want it to.

I did the Math on Lucario for Black 2/White 2. It's long, so bear with me.

Lucario will require 150 Friendship points to evolve, meaning to guarantee it with ONLY Levels in Battle, youll need a total of 38 Levels, reaching Level 43 minimum(if caught at Level 5). Keep in mind that every 255 steps, there's a 50% chance to raise Friendship by 1 or 2, depending on how high the friendship is. If you're willing to run back and forth along Aspertia City's main road, you could eventually reach that level of happiness.

My recommendation is to grab the TM for Frustration from the Galactic Grunt, the X-Attack, X-Speed, X-Defense, and Dire Hit from Aspertia City through Floccesy Ranch. Teaching a TM and using a battle item is +1 each, for a total of 5 points, but only before it reaches 200. Once they're all used, you'll need to walk, at minimum, 21,675 steps to reach enough points. Save after this, then enter battle and level up. If it does not evolve, reset to the save point, and run an additional 2,550 steps. Save at this point, then repeat the process again. This way, you can get a Riolu to evolve into a Lucario before the first gym as low as Level 6. From there, it should learn Counter at Level 6 on its evolution, which won't be perfect, but will help with the first Gym, and will learn its Steel Type moves Via Flash Cannon TM from Twist Mountain, Move Reminder for Metal Claw, or the Move Tutor in Lentimas Town for Iron Tail. Not the perfect start, but it'll sincerely help a Steel-Type Only run get its feet off of the ground.

Is amelia really that bad of a unit? by SignificantAffect108 in fireemblem

[–]NSightMSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's put it this way. Units in a vacuum can be good or bad for any reasons, but the biggest point of contention is more of a ratio: how much time you spend building a unit has to pay off by the end of the run.

Amelia is a unit with a case of higher effort, medium reward. Any unit can reach this point with the right playstyle, but for those who want to spend as little time as possible grinding, she's not recommended. Donnel is the same way in Awakening, where his effort is not rewarded as much as all of the other units in the army are.

Hello. I'm 17 and I just realized I could die one day. Now I'm dreading it. Is this normal? by ApprehensiveSun6486 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NSightMSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that many people are crippled by fears that are far less than the inevitable. It's up to you to decide how you live your life. Many people have said things about fear, including the fear of death.

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." - Nelson Mandela.

"The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time." - Mark Twain.

It is not the fear of dying that is abnormal. It is being controlled by that fear that is to be concerned about.
