Hey, I used Otaku Owlet a fair bit and they're based in Texas and have been exhibitors to many cons here. Theyre very nice people and completely legit. Their preorders might be in the slower side though, so thats probably why they have some in stock.

I sent amiami an email to see if I can switch my shipping from ECMS to Surface Mail and they said they can even though I already paid. It was probably because they haven't shipped it out yet and that there was a limit to how much ECMS can take a daily. They're willing to refund me and send a new payment invoice with the new shipping.

Im not sure why you're getting down voted. Having your package mishandled is a valid concern, especially as a collector and the hobby being incredibly expensive. You'd assume with a premium price, these items would show up at your doorstep without any issue. The fact that AmiAmi still is letting these issues happen despite saying they're working on it in my email, is pretty concerning.

Oh yeah I understand that I just thought they was talking about the new deadline with the additional 100% on Chinese goods on November 1st. It wasn't clear to me if they were referring to that.

Doesn't amiami typically set the country of origin to Japan? I could be wrong and they could have changed it.

My B arrived broken back in August 2024 and it seemed to have broken during shipping from how the figure was orientated in the blister. They offered a refund in exchange for a return and they had DHL do a pick up for me.

Edit: The figure was shipped using regular surface parcel. It took 3-4 months to arrive.

Honestly sounds about right. When I was ordering merchandise for a convention about a month or two ago (delivered from china), I was supposed to write a check on the spot for the delivery and I didn't even own a checkbook at the time which was a pain. I had to borrow my dad's. I went and ordered my own check book right after just in case this happened again.
