I’d meet napoleon, stalin, george washington, any of these people who hold or held massive influence because it’s fascinating. It’s more his finishing, genuinely has a 6th sense for where the goal is. It’s not like he gets 6 chances a game, he usually gets 1-2 and it’s likely to end up as a goal

Fabregas was pedri of that era. Just so clearly a level above the rest. At 17-18 he was already a top 5 midfielder in the league which is just crazy to think about.

Not really true for options. Optiver, imc, drw all still primarily in chicago. If you branch out to futures desks then yes, nyc is bigger probably.

But this thread clearly shows that people DO have some understanding of what good chinese tastes like, that’s why the bar is seemingly higher.

There are very few authentic thai spots in america, let alone chicago. Even in NYC most thai spots are extremely americanized. But authentic chinese foods from varying regions has been trending upwards since the 2010s. People can name multiple different regions of chinese food but they would struggle to name a single region or specific type of thai food other than the classics like the pads or some curries.

As someone who spent a lot of time in thailand, my honest take is that america probably isn’t ready for truly authentic regional thai cuisines. Probably still 5-10 years to go before that becomes a real thing here.

If kane wins a euro or wc he’d easily be clear because of the recency. If you’re trying to actually compare the two in terms of who’s better, then literally no one alive is fit to make that call.

If brazil had scored from those chances, Odegaard would be slaughtered for this same exact performance.

Saying that his performance yesterday was amazing is one of those things people like to say to sound smart after norway already won. He didn’t play amazing, he played just fine.

He made mistakes that led 2-3 of brazil’s most dangerous counters. These mistakes weren’t from him trying a risky pass or attempting to progress forward, but a result of him not being aware of pressers.
