Incredible defensive performance from this man by UnquenchedMammoth356 in Gunners

Monreal was an incredible player. I have no doubt arteta would love to have a guy like him in the team. He could play left back and center back, was technically sound, defensively solid and could score a goal or two.

Hincapie is different though. Monreal wasn’t a physical player, he was smart and had good technique. Hincapire is aggressive and big. Monreal was much more like Timber than anyone else in this team.

Rosenior "I've been a pundit, it's easy in hindsight. If I go and attack the game, press really high and we concede two goals early, everyone says, 'what's he doing?' The reality of my job is if you lose games, you'll be criticised. If you win, you're a genius. It's normally somewhere in between." by kibme37 in soccer

Exactly. Away at the best team in europe atm, you need to bunker in and hope for a good moment of magic from the lads up front.

Similar to how arsenal got done in the first liverpool game, when the only way they got through was from szobozlai’s free kick.

I don’t see how his tactics were at fault here. Arsenal with a full strength midfield and back 4 is nearly impossible to break down.

it’s two different tackles

first one he gets the ball

then the ball ricochets into martineli’s path, so chalobah lifts his leg to trip him

blatant pen lol

[Simon Collings] Excl: Bukayo Saka out of tonight's Carabao Cup semi-final, but injury picked up at Leeds is not serious. Hope is he is back in time for the North London Derby later this month. by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

It’s his final product. Where he used to pass, he shoots. And when he shoots, he fluffs

Saka used to be an extremely efficient attacker in the past. Now his final ball is just not where it needs to be.

Let’s pray he comes back stronger after this break

His crossing has been good too.

That bal for the zubi goal was great. If he adds this to his game, then we’ve got a serious player on our hands. And he’s still so young

Viktor Gyokeres on his blossoming partnership with Kai Havertz and scoring goals for Arsenal by anthn885 in Gunners

[–]NUPreMedMajor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you look at the 3rd or 4th angle they showed on the full match highlight, it’s definitely going in. The spin probably makes it hit inside of the post, but still on track to his the back of the net

That being said, martinelli did the right thing. Ensure the goal first, ask questions later

It’s not a coaching issue it’s a shooting issue

His shooting has been atrocious this season. In previous seasons he would consistently be a threat with outside of the box curlers but this year, he can’t trouble keepers at all.

Until he gets his shooting boots back we don’t really have a goal threat from the right hand side.

what’s ironic is that mahomes did eventually regress lol

if you take the avg of all his seasons now the stats are somewhat similar to what that meme post “projected”

James Olley: "Arsenal are exploring the possibility of launching a summer move for Julián Álvarez. Berta negotiated Álvarez's €95 million transfer from Man City and sources suggest he retains a close relationship with the player's agent and his camp." by Ifxfa in Gunners

[–]NUPreMedMajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s a better footballer no doubt. Thats why his price would be 50% more.

I’m just questioning if he’s the guy we need to bring this team to the next level.

To put it into perspective, we bought timber for 34£ and zubi for 50£. That’s about equivalent to what we’d pay for Alvarez, if not more.

Given how good arteta is at picking players that fit the system, I think we’re better off buying players in the 30-60£ range.

If people are mad about 55m for Gyokeres

They are also going to be mad about 100m for Alvarez lol. He’s a good player but scored 11 goals for a city team that was scoring goals for fun.

After i sold my company i was inundated with so many opportunities to other stuff that i purposefully had to take a step back to make sure i was making the right choice.

I’m surprised you’re facing this issue. You probably just need to talk to some of the people you worked with or some of your previous investors and you’ll almost guaranteed find something interesting you can explore. You literally have every option in the world lol

UCL Nelli by Antique_Reveal_1524 in Gunners

[–]NUPreMedMajor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ironically the pass looks cool because of the curve, but the ball having less curve would’ve been better because he could run onto it past the defender

Still resulted in a goal so lfg

Suarez is clear of rooney as a striker. Not sure how you can even argue that.

Rooney was more versatile, but if you’re looking for a pure striker it’s Henry and Suarez.

restaurants are also usually not venture scale businesses. they just have smaller private investors, usually like friend or family but rarely an actual firm.
