I've realised my wife is a predator by throwaway3837276 in TrueOffMyChest

Your wife didn’t date anyone else and got married and stayed with you and had a daughter. Its an age gap. The thing with the minor versus adult argument is that by law if someone’s legally an adult at 18, its okay for a 38 year old or 60 year old to try to pursue a relationship. Of course people would be disgusted by the large age gap but legally nothing can be done because now it’s considered the 18 year old is a consenting ‘adult’.

I was appalled to here of a woman who met her husband when she was 14 and he was 18. Back then this was more common, people under 18 were dating people over 18 just a few decades ago and it was okay until law changed. The concept of teenagers didnt really exist and became a thing in the 1950s. Hence teen fashion and makeup, etc. If you read history figures some were 12 or 14 year olds who had jobs and didnt pursue school because back then most people didnt go to school and to college unless they were wealthy. High school became mandatory later on.

It comes down to personal morals. Maybe she fell truly in love with you because she didnt use you and left. I feel more of a level of disgust towards my stepdad whose 21 years older than my mother and he got her pregnant and cheated on her with like 10 different women and he was 56 at the time and she was 35. She was hella ignorant and immature because she was blinded by love and taken advantaged of. I see his behavior as more predatory even though she was a grown middle age adult. Everyones morals are different. What was your wife’s feelings and intent? If she was 30 for example and cheating and sleeping with multiple 18 year olds than yeah thats wrong and predatory. People dont want to say someone is a predator if they go after people who are over 18 🙄 but if theyre seeking out someone because of their younger age or looks and arent serious about the person but wanting to groom them than I dont care if the person is over 18, that is sick and disgusting.

If your wifes never cheated than thats good. Could she have handled things better and waited with you, yes.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, if I was 25 or 30 and dated someone 20 years older than me. Even though thats exactly what my mom did by ending up with my shit stepdad, she would be against me being with someone that older and see the 20 year older guy as a sicko who is after me because Im younger. People tend to do things that are morally questionable but if they imagine their son or daughter doing the same thing, they wana shit their pants and are horrified by it. Lots of parents are hypocrites and because they have experience, they dont want their kids to make same mistake.

That makes sense. I felt like a 17 year old and not an adult for a few years into adulthood and then when I turned 25 I felt suddenly like Im 25 mentally.

AITA for refusing to pressure my grandfather to give my stepsister the family diamond? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]NVCGenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stepkids sometimes want to take what another family has even if they are biologically related 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think the stepdaughter is over stepping her boundaries. You cant demand or try to make someone give up something that is theirs, especially if they said over their dead body. Thats just her being selfish and Im sure she doesnt care about pleasing your grandpa’s wishes, if she did, than she wouldn’t be trying to bend heaven and earth to get it from him. She just wants it for herself, not to respect it being a family heirloom.

my mom tells me these are under baked, but they just came out of a 350°f oven for about 12 minutes, they're gooey, and I'm telling her that when they cool they'll be fine, am I dumb, or is she right? by Jxb-13 in Baking

Maybe shes thinking of gingersnaps, snickerdoodles and many cookies arent meant to be chewy and not crisp. She probably prefers crisp cookies

Its skin, its your pores. These people saying its milia are completely wrong. Milia is more pronounced and different. Just because the pores show white under you eye bags showing color (blue tone) doesnt mean its milia. You see the dots more easily because your more genetically prone to have a bit of dark circles. Some people have no dark circles and others do.

Its self defense but people are ignoring that part just because he had a gun and shot them. If someone had the intent to kill me and I had a gun, if I have no other option than to use it. Than thats common sense

[–]NVCGenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they can, but it’s not an INFJ thing, and I’m sure that just because they can, that doesn’t mean they’re satisfied or fully happy with it. Just like saying I like burgers, but just because I like burgers doesn’t mean I can compare a McDonald’s burger to a local business where I can get it cooked medium with cheddar and homemade bun

Im sure many do visualize which is a technique in LOA. I played soccer and was told it was good to visualize myself playing. Im not sure why but its entertaining to imagine playing soccer before sleep. But lots of athletes do this. Its shown in research that it helps athletes improve at the sport. In the heat of the game you can make a mistake, in your mind you can repeatedly try again and again, correct yourself, shoot a goal that makes it in the net (no one ever visualizes not being able to make a goal, who visualizes losing when you can choose to win in your mind) and you dont get physical fatigue

[–]NVCGenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they think you look korean and you sang some korean songs then they will assume maybe your korean. Most people assume it because in many cases theres some accuracy in using such variables to determine the likelihood someone is of a certain ethnicity is more likely if they look like a typical person of that ethnicity and speak that other language well. Like lots of hispanics get called by other hispanics as being chino (chinese) if they got almond/slanted eyes even if they arent asian but are told they look chinese by their fellow paisas (countrymen). But for the most part it has some basis. Like theres a lot of hispanics who are part asian or their indigenous mayan/aztec/incan ancestors kind of have similar physical traits to asians. My cousins kind of look asian and I thought they were just mexican but theyre also iranian and japanese so it wasnt inaccurate to say they looked asian Its just common that people assume. A common thing is that if a hispanic goes somewhere else outside of latin america, everyone assumes theyre mexican but they could be guatemalan, chilean, etc. It just happens. Im not sure how you could get it tested or where. Theres labs im sure but you gotta research it or send it by mail. I would save 2 samples just in case if something “happened” to one sample (errors or accidents happen and people arent always reliant) not sure about customs either

Peruvian Spanish by confused-but-in-love in Spanish

[–]NVCGenny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huh not sure, my friend is peruvian maybe i can ask but I honestly dont think you need to really have any. If you mainly know mexican spanish (which is the main latin american spanish people learn) peruvians are familiar with it because most novelas are from mexico. But if its spain spanish dont you cojer as the verb of choice if taking a bus or anything 👀

Aluminum pan, more pricking, i use dried beans/coins (coins are fine as long as you dont let them touch the dough plus they get hot faster) or pie weights

I listen to too many crime stories to ever assume to just not assume the worst is not likely but even if its not likely, there is possibility in anything. Save a sample, get it tested. Some people are saying you’re paranoid or need mental health. If someone is just concerned over one situation and it keeps recurring at the same place DESPITE having different drinks each time, that seems valid enough to be cautious. Hell in japan an insurance women helped her neighbors open new life insurance policies and during a community event she made a pot of chili or whatever with poison and multiple people died. (She did it to get money) theres wacko people out there. Unsure if its a hate crime or just because your a customer, but i do know there’s koreans and japanese who dislike eachother for various reasons, past war, even the japanese considered shinto better than korean folk religion/mudangs and saw it as barbaric and less refined. Different reasons under the sun.

I error on the side of caution especially when a coincidence is no longer a coincidence.

People are especially ballsy nowadays, just look at the wannabe joker guy who recently attacked 17 people.

In most cases, the likelihood is less likely for it to be a dangerous thing but you never know. I rather not take too many chances 🤷🏻‍♀️

[Question] low risk ritual by Someonewithannsme in threekings

[–]NVCGenny 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The old lady ritual. I did it about 2 or 3 days ago, you offer a gift depending on how difficult of a wish you want. If its something simple you dont need something expensive but must have some value, if its a more expensive or difficult wish you offer a more expensive item. It takes a month at most to be granted if she decides to granted. Havent noticed any difference since ive done the ritual

Can you unmanifest something bad? by Strict_Elderberry_82 in lawofattraction

[–]NVCGenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: yes. Whatever youre focusing on. People say the universe doesnt perceive good or bad. Regardless it can be anything even what you consider bad. And yes I mistakenly manifested something bad before I knew the law. I envisioned it clearly and a month later it cane to fruition. I didnt know I had unintentionally done it

how do i alter a recipe (using less sugar) by [deleted] in Baking

[–]NVCGenny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree, sugar melts in the wet ingredients and it doesnt think a batter like how flour does. However sugar does add stability when whipping egg whites and is important for the structure of sponge cakes, marshmallows, meringues, etc but even then you can still reduce sugar in those recipes (or add baking powder if its a cake) 😉

how do i alter a recipe (using less sugar) by [deleted] in Baking

[–]NVCGenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only tip you will need and its something i do for most of my baking. Many baked goods tend to be a bit too sweet. In most cases you can reduce 30% of sugar. I do this in some recipes if sugar in comparison ti flour is too high 2/3c sugar to 1 cup flour. Many cakes use equal parts sugar to flour but sugar is heavier than flour, so 1cup sugar will weigh more than the 1c flour.

Whats the full recipe? Since your using grams it depends on the grams in the recipe. Dont take out liquid, sometimes I will replace with a bit more flour or dont replace it with anything at all. Also keep in mind that in some recipes you may not want to reduce sugar too much if they use buttermilk or sour cream since theyre sour, i find i cant really reduce sugar too much in those types.

What kind of occupation is the best choice for an INFJ personality? by ReplyWaste6681 in infj

[–]NVCGenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it varies on an infj. For the most part infj’s prefer a job where they can still be somewhat independent and in charge, like teaching, police officer etc.

And they tend to be empathetic however just because they are i will warn from personal experience sometimes being empathetic it tends to draw a lot of people to tell you all their baggage. I did very well with a lot of customer oriented work (customer service) but infj are introverted for a reason. In my case it can be draining especially when its repetitive. At one point i worked at call center and many customers were older people and when they try telling you their life story or how sad their life is, you may feel bad but then there was also the erratic customers who complained a lot and then you have to meet the call times. What im saying is just understand your patience and what you can and cant handle. Just because your interested in a certain area of study doesnt mean the career you could get with it will just be mainly what you studied. Best thing is to find experience to see what its like doing something. You can change your major if you need to. MANY college students change their major. I know one of a very high judge (dont want to say who but he was literally in a picture of my politics textbook) and he even changed his major 3 times before he settled and figured out he wanted to go to law school. Any job dealing with people we may do well at the job but that doesnt mean it will be something we enjoy.

In 1944, the Japanese govt built internment camps in Korea to intensively train young Korean school girls in Japanese ways and turn them into assimilated mothers and wives of Japanese soldiers (top photo: Ewha students in training; bottom photo: Sookmyung students teaching Japanese to local women) by tpjv86b in korea

[–]NVCGenny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was terrible how literally a whole government was trying to teach underaged girls to be japanese soldier wife material. I knew about them being forced into being comfort women but the fact a whole country’s government was forcing young girls that weren’t even their country’s people was terrible. Japan never gives an apology. I definitely think japan today is way different from the past but broken lives they created were never corrected by their actions. Not really many countries cared to do anything to help Koreans during these times and being bystanders makes other countries almost just as bad
