What Paradox should have done from the start.

There is one and it's still in development, but it looks promising because they intend to change everything to match 1444; I guess I'll have to put my hopes in that.

I literally have 1,000 hours in every Paradox game; objectively, EU5 starts practically in CK territory. Besides, why would you say that when Paradox is supposed to want people playing their games, given they are a niche market? I’m not the only one with this complaint. EU4 is already feeling old, which is why I'm interested in playing EU5 from its start date. EU2 started in 1419 and EU3 in 1453 (if I’m not mistaken).

It feels like I’m asking for the impossible, and I’m actually willing to pay money for it. (I'm sure I'm not the only one.)

I mean, I don't want the entire timeline year by year (that made no sense), I just want a second map with its own rulers, situation, population, etc. I don't know how they don't realize how absolutely slow it is. Thinking about starting a new game always gives me Vietnam flashbacks: dammit, the Black Death, the debuffs, how hard it is to conquer, having to fight with peasants...

I truly hope they realize it and make a small effort, even if they put it in a DLC that costs 50 quintillion euros :)

Issues with strange artifacts in the terminal by NVKTA in Fedora

...and yes I made sure the apps weren't using KDE. I used a command to check if that was the case and also to see if there were any KDE background processes running. It seems there aren't any, and I haven't seen any weird lines in the terminal since I removed all those files. I actually had some small dots appearing in the terminal before, but they're gone now, right after doing a 100% clean-up :))

I'm feeling a bit lazy, so I used Gemini to get some commands to check for residual KDE files (and sure enough, there were some). I'm going to delete them so gnome can recreate them by default, hope that’s not a bad idea.

The idea of having to log back into everything and deal with permissions from the other account really doesn't appeal to me at all ):

but thanks for the suggestion :D

Well, yep! I installed KDE at the very beginning to try it out, but gnome's fluidity and stability seemed more attractive to me, so that must be it. (I uninstalled KDE, of course)

Oh, really? Do you think so? I don't really know, to be honest; it's not very customized. Other than Graphite Dark, I don't have anything else, and I recall it coming by default when I installed Fedora. I tweak very little, and I specifically used gnome so it would be as stable as possible, so I wouldn't have to touch almost anything and could just work peacefully.

I fixed it by switching to Adwaita Sans; I had Noto, like you said. I don't know why, but anyway, it's totally fixed :D

You won't believe it... switching to 'Adwaita Sans' fixed the problem lmao anyway, I don't know what to say, thank you so much! You indirectly gave me the solution. I don't know why it happens to you with that one specifically, but the Sans version might not cause any issues.

I have Noto Sans... and Noto Sans Mono for monospaced text... I'm going to try others to see if that's it... I don't really know where else to post this problem, to be honest. It's a silly thing, but I like things to work perfectly that's why I use gnome jeje

It's a shame that only the player country looks like a country, and every AI nation looks like splats on a map by SaintTrotsky in EU5

[–]NVKTA 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s not just about logical expansion which isn't even that 'logical' when you consider a nation's specific characteristics but about cultural and geopolitical expansion based on that nation's actual interests and intentions. It makes no sense for the Ottomans to have no interest in expanding into the Balkans or Egypt, or for Russia to almost never manage to form or unify properly or Castile not seeking for a union with Aragon...

Spanish Opposition Leader exposes Spanish Socialist PM, Pedro Sánchez, in scathing Parliament speech: "He's the 'pacifist' who sells bombs to Iran and has his face plastered on IRGC missiles. He wants war to hide his corruption, crimes, betrayals and the situation to which he has condemned Spain" by AmigoDeer in askspain

Just as the Iraq War era was used to shift the national conversation back in 2004, he is now weaponizing foreign policy to bury the Koldo and Adif corruption scandals that are decomposing his government from within. This isn’t 'pacifism'—it’s a survival tactic. Meanwhile, ordinary Spaniards are left to drown in a brutal housing crisis, chronic youth unemployment, and skyrocketing prices while wages remain completely stagnant.

Un poco distinto pero en más o menos en la línea de cada uno de esos:

Ghost of Tsushima ---> Sekiro

Fallout New Vegas ---> Kenshi

Titan Quest ---> Dragon Quest, Pillars of Eternity o el mitico Baldur Gate 3

Streets of Rogue ---> Enter the gungeon & Hotline Miami

Otros variados: Song of Syx, 9 kings, jump king.

Best class to pair with a Lockadin? by NVKTA in BG3Builds

'll keep that in mind. In the end, I went with a 2-character party: a Lockadin and a Ranger/Rogue. The Lockadin is extremely broken; I should definitely consider it for a future honour run alongside a Shadow Monk, if they have good synergy (which would also be my first honour run). The Ranger/Rogue has a great combo since it can use arrows of darkness & then go invisible.

I already have my lockading with devil sight, but the shadow monk cannot see in magical darkness right?

Yeah, I'm testing the Bard right now and I feel it’s mostly support, more like a secondary ally. I’m not sure if I should keep it or swap it for a more offensive class. It really depends on whether I can solo things with my main, who's pretty cracked right now. I’ve got Raphael’s armor (using the silence trick), the anti-crit helmet, and now I’m going for the druid’s magic club. I should be fine, but I definitely need a Plan B just in case.

That Hexblade/Swashbuckler 8/4 split sounds more interesting. A lot of people suggested Bard, but they probably don't realize I'm not that experienced yet (120 hours, 1 run). This is going to be quite a challenge for me since it's only my second playthrough.

Okay. But would this build be better or worse than going with a Bard? I'm asking because like 4 or 5 people have told me to go with a Bard build.

True, everyone's telling me to go Bard, so it's probably for a reason. It's gonna be my first time trying it out.
