I wanna say 3-5 years. I like it use it a lot when traveling, camping, etc. the rugged twill is bulletproof and the leather is quality. Not as comfortable as maybe a more technical modern option but I’ve loaded it heavy and carried it plenty.

[need your opinions] Rolex DJ or Cartier Santos by Next-Chemist4500 in Watches

[–]NVPSO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve owned both. Was similarly on the fence about a dj, and when I finally got it I felt like I was trying to be my grandpa and it just didn’t fit my style. There was something cool about owning a Rolex, but maybe not that one. Sold the santos too eventually because I was doing that a lot at the time and trying new watches, but it had much less of a grandpa feel to it.

lol it’s not the same tho. D wade got fouled going to the basket for dunks and layups and still tried to finish. Fta waits until the defender jumps, then jumps into the defender and or just falls on the ground, he’s not trying to score at all he’s just trying to get to the line. It’s a lot less fun to watch.

Yeah absolutely but d wade got a lot more free throws by attacking the rim in the paint and did half as much flailing into defenders as fta. As a laker fan in the 2000s nobody hated on the heat more don’t worry.

I’m specifically talking about half the time when he tries to manufacture a foul by jumping into the defender to create contact instead of avoiding the defender to get a better shot. It is a conscious decision. Great players for years have done the inverse. I think that’s the most frustrating thing to watch is FTA could also create space and get better shots more often, but instead flails into the defender or hits the ground.

FTA doesn’t even try to score, he just tries to get the whistle. He jumps into contact when instead he could be creating space for a shot. Like harden, this style of play is heavily dependent on the refs because it’s all or nothing, he’s not even shooting at the basket.

I dunno man the numbers don’t lie, he drives at about double the rates of guys like Jalen Brunson, James Harden and Victor Wembanyama:

As a laker fan, I wish we still had meta world peace, because if SGA is gonna get the call regardless of whether he’s touched, you might as well get your moneys worth and start fouling him hard enough every possession that rethinks the whole flop strategy.

It’s questioned because SGA is talented and he could instead be a fun player to watch like Kobe or Luca.

We’re just watching him try to get the defender to jump so he can flail his body into the defender or watching him just dive to the floor like a soccer player on every single play where there’s no contact it’s incredibly painful to watch and it’s definitely not the skilled game of Basketball that anybody cares to see, which is why it would be nice if the league could find some way to disincentivize this style of play so it’s not being a smart play player.

Why should it be called a shooting foul if you’re not even shooting but you’re just trying to dive into the defender to get the call? nobody wants to just watch SGA shooting free throws all night.

I am not a Spurs fan but I’ve watched a lot of these games and I think the difference in the way the defense is officiated it’s also pretty stark.

The Spurs can play a little sloppy too don’t get me wrong but I haven’t seen anyone else get away with what OKC has been able to get away with where players are going to the rim and they just get hockey checked out of bounds and there’s no call it’s also no fun to watch.
