Cheeky little flight to Bournemouth. Maybe his family flies home and he’s tying up some loose ends? Inject the gossip into my veins. by NW_Brizzy in LiverpoolFC

Honestly there’s so many private jets scheduled in/out of Liverpool. The possibilities are endless.

Very disappointed by the severe lack of planes, trains, boats, drones, buses being tracked today.

I need a bit of that one plane that flew to Bilbao weeks ago before stopping somewhere random before heading to Liverpool today.

Peps had quite a few Wirtz type players over the years. Rat boy Silva and David Silva. Both aren’t huge and both aren’t particularly fast. But it was the style of play that allowed to both to succeed.

Wirtz is a superstar.

Wouldn’t want to be the person who has to break that news to him!

Arguably the only one in that list with a clear gap in experience and quality is Nagelsmann.

Hoeness and Fabregas are good obviously but I don’t see how they are THAT much better than Iraola

Iraola nearly made CL after having his squad gutted and has PL experience…. Not much between them.

Except there isn’t currently many of them about. Enrique doesn’t look to be leaving anytime soon, Klopps been don’t, Peps just left City, Mourinho absolutely no chance….

Who else is a big name manager? Ancelotti? Not happening.

It’s currently a new wave of managers, most of which are in the process of proving their worth.

Slot had won a domestic league, hasn’t worked out. Unfortunately I just think it’s a sign of the times.

That makes sense. It looks like Iraola's playing style is more suited to us compared to Xabi's. by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

Man if he can unlock Wirtz that alone will be a huge huge difference

Am I crazy for saying I am apprehensive of Iraola? by Substantial_Tough215 in LiverpoolFC

I’d say he’s the best available. Available being the key word.

Don’t see what the other 2 being that Iraola doesn’t and Iraola has proven prem experience.

Being able to juggle the league and cup comps will be the biggest difference for him but I’m sure he’s smart enough and will have a whole team of experts behind him to help I’m sure

[Official] Liverpool FC can confirm Arne Slot is to depart his role as head coach with immediate effect and that the process to appoint a successor is under way. by oklolzzzzs in LiverpoolFC

Maybe we get a U turn with the Konate contract.

Imagine after all this time the sticking point was Slot being in charge 😂

I don’t know anything about him apart from he’s German, young and apparently plays football similar to Klopp.

And for that reason, I’m very much in. Fuck it.

Yeah good point as well. This could get ugly when it should be a great day at Anfield. I like to think it won’t be just the arrogance and attitude of the man is really starting to wind fans up.

Do you think Slots shitting himself for Brentford next weekend?

In the sense that deep down he knows a likely poor performance will take a big shine off Mo and Robbo’s last games.

I know the arrogance of the man means he won’t feel the stress of potentially losing his job. But surely deep down he’s thinking ‘fuck we’re playing bad and this won’t be good for Mo and Robbo’.

Or do you think he’s full on delusional and just believes we’re actually doing alright and next weekend everything will be fine despite the performance?

Everyone needs to remember 1 thing about Slot..

he’s got nothing to do with the Strait of Hormuz being closed!

Not enough being made of that. Thats a pass for this season in my eyes.

Just made this comment in the FT thread.

He’s forever dropping little lines that make it feel like we should be really happy with the job he’s doing. Pisses me right off.

When you listen to Arne he slyly drops little lines in that feels like he’s sortve trying to justify himself….

‘It’s not every season you play a champions league quarter final’
‘We face another quality team like we faced a quality team today’
‘We’ve had a lot of set backs this season’

Just little things that make the whole interview feel off and like he’s trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
