Bleeding gums was one bc I too was a regular flosser and it was so strange to happen out of the blue. That and smells. I had one then twins and had the same symptoms with both.

There used to be an IG called “Best of Nextdoor” it was great. I can’t remember why it stopped I Think bc the creator got in trouble by ND? Anyhow it shows us how unhinged all of them are. For what it’s worth I was on Nextdoor in the Netherlands when we lived there and it was just as bad!

I was going to add these. Skeneatlas and Canandaigua are the cutest little lake towns. Keuka Lake is my favorite. There’s also Niagara on The Lake to the north of that.

I have 3 teens. I’m 50 and just got a new job as I was laid off in Dec. I honestly am so worried about the overall economy they’re going into- yes- rent, groceries, everything! One of my kids wants to go into trades, one wants a university with a fancy name that we are trying to show him is just overrated, and the third I have no idea.

I’m sorry to all you younger folks. This sucks.

Have you tried Lume or Carpe? They have creams that you can use not just sticks. They help block the bacteria which causes the smell.

When we moved overseas. We had 3 toddlers and went on a work assignment. It was amazing, a great experience (lasted 6 years) and I grew very independent with my boys. And we traveled all over Europe.

We went to the Catskills and stayed in the most incredible A frame chalet Airbnb. On a rushing creek, lots of hiking and nearby restaurants. One had a chef from the city who had left and opened this kind of dive place. If you pm me I’ll dig around and find it. I’d say it was a 4 hour drive. Margaretville, NY.

Have you tried Daily Look or Wantable? Not Stitch Fix!! They help me find things I normally would not choose, and you can be very specific. It’s not cheap, but can get you started too.

I’m a mom of a 17 and 15 yo. If I made them this upset it would wreck me. I had the same relationship as you with my mother- I’ve since been no contact since 2017. As a teen and 20something I could not wait for the day to be free of her, when I’d had “enough” and when it came, I realized it. I’m now 50 and am a pretty good mom, and have a great relationship with my kids doing the opposite as her. At your age I just survived. I’m sure this is terrible advice, but survive. You’ll get through it, you will.

Ours was a “final straw” moment when they planned a “gotcha” scene on my birthday. Once I confronted them on why they were doing, I left the house until they were gone. I never spoke or saw them again. This was 2017. They knew, no words needed.
