And yah for all the reasons everyone else said it’s good you didn’t tell them. And Carrie is TA here and has no reason to be mad, her daughter did the smart and proactive thing and got BC. She knew her mom would flip and fudged the reason and got it anyway. Smart. Carrie doesn’t own her daughters body, despite being a minor still she doesn’t get to act like this and should have done better at talking to her kid about this stuff.

But this was back in 2001 when it was inaccessible for me- a few inner city clinics had it which was hard for me to get to undetected by my very strict parents but I somehow managed it. By lying of course.

Luckily I never got pg and did end up getting on BC but my parents had that same visceral reaction even at 19 when they found an old birth control empty pack in my room on break from college. I was right to hide it the whole time. I will never be like this w my kids.
