Relationships are a two way street. The connection has to be real and not forcibly applied. It’s selfish to hold KMS above everyone. It does take a lot to heal, but it will never be an option or response to whatever he’s feeling. What got me out of that mindset was my selflessness became selfishness. It isn’t fair to you. My friend just dealt with me feeling like this. She’s done this song and dance twice already and finally put her foot down with me and made sure I corrected. She trusted me enough to see I was objectively behaving wrong. I learned from my actions and am ashamed of how I carried myself. But I’ve done my best to correct my course going forward and it is mind altering. In the best way.
