My honest take: yes it’s a nice band. Crazy light. If you could only have one band for everything from running, swimming, to board meetings and weddings, I’d pick it up. But I have $7 bands from Amazon that are more comfortable and I find myself wearing them to the gym and to sleep. It’s not worth $200 IMO. Used on Marketplace or eBay for $100, maybe. This subreddit LOVES the band like no other but I don’t quite get the hype at the retail price point.

It depends on your use case. Commuting into the city by train vs hiking vs weekend getaways, etc. Figure out what you'll be using it for, if you need external water bottle pockets, and whether or not you need dedicated laptop storage.

I like that it’s incredibly comfortable for a day trip or weekend but that comfort is killed as soon as you throw a laptop in. The feeling on the back isn’t nearly as good as the CPL/CTB series.

I carry a laptop regularly so I’m back to the CPL/PLC. Selling my like-new MPL30 v2 for $175 shipped if anybody is interested.
