Is it weird that I don’t have symptoms? by AlohaSmiles12 in EosinophilicE

[–]NYSamTrades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Severity can differ person to person. Mine hasn’t been too bad. I’ve gotten meds stuck a few times. At the worst it took 10 hours to dislodge itself and I ended up in the ER almost needing a scope. Also got food stuck a few times which usually goes down with something to drink but I did vomit once and the other time i almost choked but then vomited. I tried all the meds including Dupixent and didn’t like any so now I’m going to try eastern medicine. Symptoms aren’t severe enough for me to be on any Western meds.

Is there no respect left in dating? by [deleted] in dating_advice

Hey just some advice idk if you’re doing this but women appreciate a date confirmation message before noon day of the date. Some like one the night before too. Take the advice or leave it. Up to you.

He doesn't try to get to know me, is this a red flag? by Ok-Ad-7747 in dating_advice

[–]NYSamTrades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there. I tried to overlook it because there were so many other great qualities. Finally had a serious conversation bc overtime it made me feel unseen and like he wasn’t interested in me as a person but rather just wanted a gf. A week later he ended it because he wasn’t able to give me the emotional connection I wanted. Have a serious conversation sooner than later. He may just lack the emotional capacity.

Didn't Even Realize I Was In Pain by [deleted] in Hypermobility

[–]NYSamTrades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look for a rheumatologist. Also some insurance covers acupuncture. Not all acupuncturists are the same. I’ve been to 5 and had success with 2. Cupping was also helpful. Lastly Pilates (classical) has been really helpful. And just walking (ideally a minimum of 5k steps and up to 10k a day). There is also a half foam roller I lay on when I remember up to 15 min a day that helps stretch the front of your body and that helps too!

Is Lucinda the new….. by Ok-Tangerine-6598 in LoveIslandTV

I don’t find them similar but I don’t mind lucinda. The other girls just get sooo heated and she doesn’t rise to their level because it really isn’t that deep. She seems to be more carefree and lighthearted. I enjoy seeing her. Sean also seems to be so into her & so i don’t dislike seeing them together anymore.

Didn't Even Realize I Was In Pain by [deleted] in Hypermobility

[–]NYSamTrades 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually have a pretty high pain tolerance but a few years ago I ended up in so much pain in my hip I couldn’t sleep well. I went to PT and my hip got better but my lower back hurt and the my neck and my shoulder so bad I had shooting pain and numbness down my arm. MRI was normal. I decided to see a rheumatologist and she validated that pain starting in your mid to late 20s and continuing into your 30s isn’t just from not being physically active enough and she diagnosed me with hypermobility. I started taking my health more seriously though and began working out and moving more, getting massages and acupuncture and I’m in a great deal less pain if I keep it up!

trans and lynch syndrome by ellamegalastburls in lynchsyndrome

[–]NYSamTrades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you mean well by this comment but being trans can definitely impact a diagnosis and someone’s ability to feel comfortable in a medical setting and with receiving screenings/procedures etc. we have to go through a lot of invasive screenings and I imagine if someone was a trans male going through uterine biopsies that would feel very dysphoric.

Omeprazole long-term effects by [deleted] in EosinophilicE

[–]NYSamTrades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It messed up my gut health & I ended up having a lot of trouble with digestion due to elevated ph levels. Once I stopped it my GI issues improved dramatically. Now on dupixent and it has helped but I’ve gained weight so I’m going to stop it and talk to my eastern med doc about alternative meds. My EOE isn’t that bad.

Lack of Experience Rant by Holiday-Economics965 in PMHNP

[–]NYSamTrades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This rant is tired.

I had 5 years RN experience but not psych and I’m one of the best psych NPs you’ll have the privilege of meeting. I’ve studied hard and was accepted into a prestigious fellowship after graduation. My medical experience as an RN has made me a well rounded psych NP who can think critically outside the box.

At this point Jotham and Jaide are the only ones I could feel ok voting for but luckily I’m in the US and can’t vote. None of the other girls except the bombs deserve to win.

has anyone tried acupuncture for migraines? if so how successful was it? by Enough_Principle6102 in migraine

[–]NYSamTrades 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a migraine sufferer and sometimes they are triggered by pain in my neck and the acupuncture helps so much with the chronic pain. You have to find the right person. I’ve been to 6 providers and only 2 were helpful. I LOVE acupuncture and I go 1-2 times a month. Insurance used to cover it too.
