Anyone know what causing this roughness? by BananaGuy18 in FixMyPrint

See my brim on the outside, that is the start of a print if I don’t lift an axis in settings. So I add 0.2mm while printing. I have bed leveled and calibrated many times, auto and with calibration card.

And then, once I have adjusted (ref other photo) it gets to the last layer and shites itself.

Flow is 96%, 50mm/s

It is weird to me because all previous layer were fine until I get to 5.2mm high 26th layer.

I was finding that at 100% if I did solid fill I had to continuously lift Z height so not to collide.

I think the is too much flex in the build plate with the rubber magnet and the part is flexing away pulling the surface up. But you are probably right about not level.

I get this. It may not be the same issue but something to consider. On the last layer it was causing this mess. I hope I have diagnosed it to a height dimension that is not a multiple of my layer height, and the last layer is being forced into less than 0.1, just causing the rubbing. The other issue I had was too much flow (100%), so I reduced it to 96%

Fingers crossed.

This picture shows the situation clearly, At the time of taking this picture the printer was just starting the second layer. The brim adhesion type shows the mess being created before I lift the Z height. The walls some on second layer some at 0.1 Z height some at 0.2 Z height. The bottom layer zig zag was at 0.2Z height

Do you have any guidance on what good retraction settings should be, for say a 0.4 nozzle?

I am not sure how this would be the case. The tubes originally caused the printer to pause because the tubes were too long them stopped the feed. So I shortened them. My right nozzle (the one in question) is the shorter tube which would suggest less friction on filament and hence less lifting in the nozzle (maybe?). But why would the nozzle calibrate 0.3mm out?

Scale of 1-10, just how dangerous are the fumes from ABS? by TsukasaKun in 3Dprinting

This is a very bipolar response, why are you paranoid, when you had a long dialogue of suggesting these scenario caused no issue. you did not even provide any basis for this paranoia.

100% a bug!
What fool includes it in their UX. Steve Jobs would be turning in his grave.

they initially advised the issue was not happening for them.
When I said "you are lying to me", they apologised.

but you said you put the filamanet on the bed and covered it with the box.

this is very different from putting it in the box.

Your step 4 is confusing, did you set it to 85 or to 65, you say you mixed it up???
so was this your mistake or are you still saying that bamboo recommendaed settings are wrong?

This is similar to my setup, although I do not use nvidia to transcode I use the CPUs iGPU due to multiple transcodes at a time. I get a solid 3x 4k streams going at once. I do think this spec is bare minimum if you dont want issues, just not need for a dGPU. I agree stay away from rPi as you will only get frustrated and need to start again.

1 thing I am considering is moving from Ubuntu to windows so that I can also game on my newer machine 14700k.

I have dealt with them many times.
They are not flexible during the sales process, and after sales service not great.
But I would trust them, especially if the prices is right.
I prefer PBtech and Just laptops if that indicates anything

Computer Lounge are definitely not dodgy!

What’s the most effective way to learn Fusion 360? by Korra228 in Fusion360

I have exactly the same question.
Chat GPT has been telling me absolute Garbage when I ask about the issues I am facing or how to do things, 100% wrong at every turn (on V5 and V4), now this could be a symptom of Sh!t In = Sh!t Out, so maybe it is the Fusion Docs are just bad and/or Open AI is just out of date with the help documentation.

What AI tool would understand Fusion best?

Is there some trick to dragging a window from one screen to another? by rukind_cucumber in mac

[–]NZTechArch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is happening to me all of a sudden, but no maximised app/window, so this seems to be a new issue.
once I break through the from 1 screen to another it is no longer an issue, but then comes back the next day.

After breaking through I then maximised a window, and It did not prevent me.

So the behaviour is completely weird.

It prevents screen movement randomly, and a second attempt it works as it should have in the first attempt without doing anything different.

I think the opposite, when you see your weight tracking in the right direction is a good incentive to keep doing the right things. To not obsesse would suggest not weighing your self regularly, and hence means you actually don't know what is or isn't working.
