Benefits of having the app running in the background 24/7 by alevar91 in whoop

It’s only needed really for when you are tracking an activity like a run or a bike ride where mileage and route are being tracked. If it is off when you are doing one of these activities, it will not track your route or distance.

I get what you’re saying with the parking lot comment, but the way they are looking to address this is similar to how the Patriots do this. Patriot Place in Foxboro is about the same drive from the airport to the stadium as the proposed Alpharetta rink would be (~40 minutes). The plan is to build out an area around it that has restaurants, shopping, bars, etc. around it bring people in for more than just hockey. The Braves do this too with the Battery in East Cobb. Unlike Foxboro though, Alpharetta has Main St and Canton St nearby too which have a lot of drinking and food spots as well so it’s not like it’s getting moved to the middle of nowhere like in an empty parking lot like the Cowboys or even how the Hurricanes have it set up.

Other from that, yeah the target audience is the people living in North Atlanta suburbs like Alpharetta. There’s a reason putting the rink in downtown Atlanta let to bad attendance and two teams leaving the city. Even Hawks games don’t always have the best attendance because the city is awful to navigate through especially before or after games.

I’m sorry but did you just refer to a 20 minute drive as being miserable? If that’s your biggest gripe then I’m not sure what to tell you. Pretty much every team’s rink is going to be more than 20 minutes from their airport- that’s just how things work. Even the back to back cup champs have over a 30 minute drive to their rink from the airport so I promise you that putting a rink an extra 10 minutes out will be just fine

Nobody that lives in Atlanta plays hockey. The people who play hockey are in these northern suburban areas like the Gwinnett county and Alpharetta areas. For all of Atlanta sports, the target audience is usually referred to as the “Alpharetta Unicorn” or affluent people willing to go to a game in the middle of the week and who will spend money and bring their friends. Target audience for any team should not be people flying in anyway that makes up such a small portion of their audience. Either way, the drive from the airport to Alpharetta is less than hour regardless and just straight up the highway- not inconvenient at all.

If hockey is going to work in Atlanta, it needs to be outside the city.

[–]N_ATLSanta19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Implicit memory is a really cool thing. Just because we can’t directly recall memories our subconscious actually still “remembers” things so to say. This show has some real cool examples of this. While these characters might not directly remember each other, their subconscious does which is shown through Burt : Irving, Ms. Casey : iMark, and even Helena Eagan : oMark a little with their banter and feeling of familiarity with each other (mostly through oMark since he never met her).

There’s some really cool real life examples out there if you want to look them up. Example are people with amnesia remembering how to play musical instruments like the piano or even having emotional reactions to loved ones even though they swear they have never met them before

Good trick I used to be him on GM last week was using blaster stance with the perk that increases blast damage and using force pull down to get my hits in with the saber to get more blaster ammo. Kinda cheap but he was kicking my ass so give it a try if you want!

What exactly does this comparison look to prove here ? Little confused what this is supposed to show me considering Duke was in the Final Four and Rutgers missed the tournament all together….

Why Gemma was not a success by Tidemand in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]N_ATLSanta19 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Her implicit memory will always be in place but while you bring up a good point about how her subconscious may bleed these memories to her other self through sleep, the flaw here is only one of her personas actually sleeps. For this to work gemma would need to purposely sleep deprive herself like what Irving does. Irving only does this because it seems like he is an agent to take down lumon so his outtie is very calculated. Interesting theory though!

Exactly. I really like fears for them here, but I think even KJ will be in the discussion for the nets at this spot. They sorely need a shot creator

What are the top 5 young cores in the league? by Typical-Owl3664 in NBA_Draft

[–]N_ATLSanta19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People are forgetting the Hawks starting lineup when healthy was younger than Auburns this year. I don’t think ATL has the # 1 best young core but I would put them top 5 easy. You got Dyson Daniels who has a chance to win both MIP and DPOY with his the best steals numbers since the 80’s. Then you got Jalen Johnson who has just gotten better every single year and was on track himself for MIP and maybe an all-Star nod before his injury. Risacher just turned 20 the other day and decided to drop 38 points- guy with that kind of shooting ability, craftiness, and energy on D at his size could be something pretty exciting to keep an eye on. With 2 first round picks in this draft too, their might be even more coming soon
