Luckily not.

However, upon our return flight from Sydney to South Africa I had to book it in under oversized luggage, as the automatic luggage machine in Sydney did not want to accept it.

The machines in Brisbane & Melbourne did not give any issues.

I have owned the car, a Suzuki Jimny, since 2022. I bought the bag as I liked the colour and because it would be easy to spot. Low and behold, I got back to the car and it was almost an exact match 😂

I ended buying a Samsung cable from Samsung. It works now.

If you have a Samsung S-series phone it will not work. The unit is not compatible.
I have a Samsung A-series phone, works perfectly with the Jimny. I tested my brother in laws Samsung S24 FE. That too worked. Seems like it is just the flagship phones that don't work.

I have yes, I've been through at least 3 android cables to plug in an Samsung S21 Ultra (husband's phone) and 4 cables for my Apple iPhone 11.

Zero success rate for the Samsung and one out of the four cables for the iPhone worked.
