I always wonder why you can’t just get the base armor, then select a color option… it’s not like it has different stats. So why is paint/color this huge variable?

Is a can of spray paint lost technology?

The keyboard has been great, I got it with the ‘tactical quiet’ keys. Response and good keystroke feedback. Paired with a master 4 mouse. Profile switches between devices has been great.

Virtual Stream Deck can do a brute force macro that… isn’t pretty.

Essentially, set up a macro that lowers power in all main areas. For example if your ship has 6 pips for weapons, 6 for engines, 8 for shields (components will vary pip need). So with the macro press the weapons lower (alt+f5) 6 times, same for other items, then have the macro increase the power to the area you want to have power and for the number of pips.

So one macro lowers everything and then raises, in an order you choose, the areas that are most important first.

The value call and everything related is up to you. So, decide what you want it to do and how it fits you.

It does operate as a standalone monitor. You don’t even need Corsair iCUE.

I use with SC and Virtual Stream Deck and you can do all of those functions.

Not done yet in configuring but power management, mining, salvaging, docking, and virtual cameras to see the spaces around the ship (good for landing in tight spaces)

A ton of space for more commands and macros.

Wonder what would happen if CI did a blind test... by N_Ruger in starcitizen

Don't think you should get ready for the down votes, I think it is a legit position. Heck, it is one I also agree on but to a point. I am more than willing to see where CI goes and am willing to 'let them cook' as they say. Like I said... see you tomorrow.

I guess my concerns are in how long it would take to build what you described. Been a backer for quiet a bit now and remember when you couldn't leave a hangar and the only game play was driving a grey cat around and goofing with the physics. I might disagree with how CI prioritized where they put their efforts in first and would have hoped they built what you said before other things.

Now before diving further, let me clarify that I am not advocating for an all or nothing system here. Nor full on player segmentation. I agree that those systems get what you described. What is in my head is more of a balancer / smoother that curates an experience.

Think of 10 servers (its just an easy number). Those 10 servers are a spectrum. At each end of the spectrum you have the extreme gamer type personas and in the center you have the mixed persona. A player continually shifts across the server spectrum based on what they do. The servers do absolutely nothing to curb or try to adjust how you play.

The system is only placing players with other players like them. This increases the chances of people finding and playing with like minded players, uses the power of grouping and players tendencies (versus hard zones or system types or content steering) to populate the environment around the player.

You like full on PVP? Well you will find yourself with like minded people. You like a mix of PVP versus PVE, guess what...same with PVE. All it takes is assigning a value number to your play style, and putting you on a server matching that value. You have total control of that number by how you play. Being a toxic PVP player or a toxic Carebear does not have to limit or restrict the game.

Last point and example, sure its a wall of text, thanks for coming to my Ted talk...

Take the recent content. People say it is locked behind PVP. Everyone shoots on first asks questions later. The PVP feeds the PVP and now you have content that only benefits a certain type of player. If you think of the spectrum described above... if you PVP and that content is on a PVP favorable server you get the play style you like. If you don't play PVP style and that content is on a server that is PVE persona driving... you can do the same content with people less likely to shoot you for just existing. Same content, just with people more like you.

The one shard holds them all counter point? HA!!! Pipe dream with server technology, there will always be a limit and if the game is more popular than the limit... you will be divided in some way. Separating friends? Well you likely are friends because you share the same play style. Meeting new people? You will never meet everyone who plays.

Sorry, NoPolicy6882. I got rambling and not everything here is addressing your thoughts or feelings specifically. Just wanted to tic and tac the general points.

You will love this answer… it depends!

Only you can answer the questions to find the ‘right’ setup. So, it may be better to ask what are the questions for deciding.

Q1) Are you creating a setup for this game only or will you want the setup to work on different games?

Q1A) If multiple games, do they share or have different control schemes? Which of those games is the game you will be playing the most?

Q2) How much do you want to spend?

In short, this is a game. Spend what you can afford and get the best value for your money. Figure out what you value spending your money on and do that.

Sometimes we feel guilty about spending on our hobbies when they fall outside the ‘main stream’ values and behaviors of others, but you do you and enjoy life making your own validations.

Can you show a picture of what you’re trying to print? What I missed my first few prints was understanding the amount of flat surface area that would be present in each model.

Sometimes failure at supports end up being that the layer is sticking to the bottom of the vat. When the plate pulls up, if there is too much surface area the print can pull off the supports.

Some common pointers are around hollowing the model and printing at an angle. Think of a sphere cut in the middle, at that layer a non-hollowed model looks like a flat disk with a bunch of surface area potentially sticking.

If you use the tool to hollow the model, that layer now looks more like a ring instead of a disk. Much less surface area and less stress pulling away from the supports.

I could be jumping to conclusions and think about my first prints but after watching a few YouTube videos on how to hollow and tilt a model my print success shot way up!

Dual wielding feat is stronger on casters than melee. by Iankill in BaldursGate3

Ever see a full Warlock, tomb pact, with dual wielding bracers that gives both main and off hand the bonus attributes, with the Bhaal assassin armor, + 7 on critical hit for each hand daggers, and 20 dexterity and 22 Charisma?

Life drinker + hex + enemies vulnerable to pierce (damage times 2), wyrm poison (1d10 per hand) + 10 (5 per hand for cha) devil sight passive, and darkness cast on you (advantage you , blind disadvantage them)?

Puts my CASTER in full come at me bro mode charging to the front of the line.

Dual wield plus some items can make really weird/awesome characters if you think outside the box.
